4/5 - Good
So this is my own personal opinion of the show and I understand everyone has their own taste and likes- Before I purchased my tickets I did my research and found a mixture of reviews, and was kind of getting discouraged, but I really wanted to see it for myself, and since I was taking my 16year old daughter, I felt this would be most appropriate, and she agreed. It was also out of convenience since we were staying at the MGM grand already. Ka is my second Cirque show, we have seen Mystere 3 years ago and loved it! The setting and theatre is really neat, when we entered the theatre there were performers hanging and swinging from props alongside of the theatre. The seats were comfortable with speakers at the head rest. I found the storyline really confusing and got lost midway, fortunately my daughter was able to follow it and was filling me in during the show. Hands down, it is the hydraulic stage that really steals the show including the projection display. The music was a mix of light classical to heavy rock upbeat music. I preferred the loud heavier upbeat music. Very eclectic show with a mixture of comedic flare, romance and hard core fight scenes. I wouldn’t pay the money to get seats up front, we were in the middle towards the back and got to see everything pretty well. We paid about $80US which includes service charges. If you can get tickets for $55-59, go see it. Next time I’d love to see O at the Wynn or Micheal Jackson’s Cirque.
