They are both hunters. I know this is not everyone's cup of tea, but a lot of people from that generation in rural France do like hunting, fishing, fetching mushrooms. There are woodlands all around the karting circuit. My dad and his friend have built some platforms in the trees, and from mid-October to mid-November they go there every morning to shoot migrating birds. Those ones are some sort of wood pigeons going from Eastern Europe / Russia to North Africa. I did my own shooting that morning... with my camera! We travelled with our assistance dog and he loved the huge garden and the river. The room was kept cool from the river which was a blessing in the summer heat. The owners are simply lovely and did everything they could to look after us. The breakfast was more than we could eat!
