Do you enjoy tasting rooms, healthy and delicious food and music? This comfortable 1940's era loft is located next to Julian Station. The Station features Colt's Burger Bar (grass-fed burgers with no hormones or antibiotics), 3 unique tasting rooms (hard cider, wine & chocolate, beer) and 5 fun shops and a gorgeous scenic back patio. The Loft is private and peaceful but still conveniently located just above Julian Station for an exciting, fun and easy stay. Although we have live music during the day and several tasting rooms, The Loft is private. Our place is very family oriented and things usually wind down around 7 pm (which is later than most places in Julian!). The Craft Beer Tap & Tasting room is open until around 8 pm but you won't hear anything from The Loft. We are adjacent to Highway 78 and a peaceful rural dirt road named Orchard Lane which offers scenic strolls and amazing views. We are also in walking distance from many other attractions in the Wynola area of Julian including restaurants, gold panning, a petting zoo and pumpkin patch, hay rides, 2 pie shops and 2 antique malls. Nothing is open in the evening or in the morning so you have to drive a few miles. Pretty area but there are regular hotels, we ended up leaving the 2nd night because it was a motorcycle rally and well its on the road hot with open windows and bikes blared music w pipes to wake everyone. We were sent a message that the door would be unlocked and the key would be on the table/counter. We flew in from Florida and arrived near midnight. The door was not only unlocked but WIDE open. Unless you have the door locked constantly it will open by itself. It also isn’t mentioned that this is located in a “Dark Sky Community”. For someone who isn’t local or aware these things exist, it means when we arrived it was pitch black and there’s no street lights to guide you because the town works as a whole to keep light pollution down. We were told to park on a certain side of the Burger Bar, but there wasn’t any signage for the Burger Bar. We just parked and hoped for the best. I messaged through VRBO about it and never received a response the entire time we stayed. WIFI is public and we couldn’t get it to work. There’s much more furniture in the rooms than in the pictures making things feel cramped. My older parents commented the bed in the main room was too firm and opted to sleep on the couch and recliner. The fridge and cabinets were full of leftover products from previous stays. Handy if you forget something but off-putting because of germs and you don’t know how long it’s been there. The bathroom has no ventilation and it’s on well water so smells heavily of iron. Plenty of toys and books for kids in bunk bed room, but the dresser is full of linens. Location is beautiful, great for walks, but rental needs work. ##### Brianna R. Nowhere to put your toiletries because the cabinets were packed. Closets were packed messes - couldn't hang your clothes up. The primary bedroom closet smelled of musty mold. Missing or burned out light bulbs, dirty BBQ, 4-cup coffee pot, fireplace thermostat didn't work, constant problems with the WiFi (no TV). The only thing this place has going for it was the location. Lots talked about being family friendly, a great quiet location.. etc. You hear no noise from the Taste Room as the description says, because you hear it from the highway.. No one mention the fact that we would have to bring a case of bottled water for our family, because the tap water has a system, that did what for it in the end?? It was smelly & tasted awful. The location could not be better. Fort Cross is across the street as is apple picking. Downstairs there were so many fun things for my kids to do. My only concern had been that it would be noisy since it is just off the road and next to the junction, but it was quiet as can be and we all slept great. ##### Alana C.
