Enjoyed the kitchen and eating in. The baby loved the swing. At night it was wonderful to sit out on the porch to watch the sun set and then gather around the fire to chat and enjoy the profound quiet or go downstairs to play games. Slept well on the beds which had cozy bedding. Extra blankets were provided for naps as well. The claw foot tub was delightful and the hot water did not run out.Situated on a steep hill with a very steep driveway I’d be hesitant to use if the weather was bad. Nothing better than coming home and seeing the expanse of fields, trees and grazing cows. Enjoyed the sunsets by the fire table or from the dining table while playing games. We enjoyed sunsets and starry nights. The house feels private and secluded like a cabin in the country. The place has all the cooking things you'll need and the most amazing deck, we even saw the Milky Way! We were so impressed at how impeccably clean the place was and the lovely furniture layout. The views from the balcony, on a clear day, are lovely. Regrettably, we didn't see any of those until our day of departure as heavy rain and strong winds persisted for most of our stay, forcing our party to spend more time indoors than we'd hoped. This meant more focus on the property, than expected and while it is spacious and comfortable, some of the fixtures and fittings have seen years of service without renewal. For instance, the heating and cooling system is a tad loud when in use and the en-suite shower offered up little more than a trickle of lukewarm water at any given time. The host, Roger, is very responsive and helped, when asked, with a specific request that improved our visit. ##### Stephen B.
