We had the absolute pleasure of staying at this stunning home in Julian, and it truly exceeded every expectation. The house is gorgeous, warm, and incredibly festive for the holidays—every detail felt intentional and thoughtfully curated. I especially loved the decor: natural fibers, greenery, beautiful textures, and high-quality bedding and mattresses that made it feel both luxurious and cozy. The host is one of the most thoughtful I’ve ever encountered. The home was stocked with literally everything you could possibly need—and then some. I deeply appreciated the non-Teflon cookware and the amazing coffee machine (a small detail that makes a huge difference). The cedar tub was the cherry on top—pure magic. The shower with exposed stone was so unique and beautiful, and the balcony views were incredible. We watched birds, spotted a woodpecker, and soaked in the peaceful surroundings. There’s a great trail just a 5-minute drive away, and the house manual was so well done that everything felt effortless and easy from start to finish. Aubrey was super communicative and the cabin was adorable. There was a lot of space, especially with the lower level (we didn't use it at all but it would be great for hanging out and playing games!). We have two corgis that go with us on trips and we always choose dog-friendly VRBOs but this was another level of dog friendliness. I LOVE that the dogs were allowed to hang on the couch with us with the provided dog blankets. That was such a nice touch! The hot tub was great - soooo warm and so cute with the pendant lights and trees all around. We only slept in the primary bed and the mattress was comfy. At a lot of places it seems they buy cheap mattresses or don't replace them enough and they feel uneven. Not here! :) I really don't have anything bad to say! I will warn folks (only because I didn't pay attention and notice this) but the primary room/loft is totally open to the main floor. While the bed isn't in view, any noises would transfer to the room if folks were downstairs. It was absolutely fine for us but wanted to add it here. Spacious, modern cabin with the comforts of home. Aubrey really thought of every detail. You will not be disappointed! We had a blast playing pool and enjoyed our time relaxing on the wrap around deck watching the woodpeckers collecting acorns. The neighborhood is quiet and it’s located close to the lake and Julian.
