The driveway leads to a stunning private fire pit & seating area. Features a bright living room with floor to ceiling windows, giving the feeling of being outside, yet warm & cozy by the electric fireplace. It offers a \- double sofa bed \- smart TV connected to Netflix. \*please note \- there are no curtains in living room. (Sofa bed location) \- during busy times may not be able to stream Netflix due to wifi bandwidth Registration details Provincial registration number:PM306600451 The Space: There is a large driveway that leads to a stunning, private fire pit and seating area. The driveway can easily accommodate 2 vehicles. Inside the cottage, you will find a roomy, well-equipped kitchen with a elctric cooking stove. In the living room is a double sofa bed and down the hall a cozy, private Queen bedroom and full bathroom. The bright living room is surrounded by floor to ceiling windows on two sides, giving the feeling of being outside yet warm and cozy by the electric fireplace. \*\*Please note there are no curtains in the living room.\*\*\* There is a Smart TV in the living room connected to Netflix. Wifi is also included. On the property, you will find a propane Weber Genesis BBQ. Beside this you will find a well-situated locally-made Adirondack chair for taking your morning coffee or enjoying the sunset with a glass of wine. Further down the driveway is a large, private fire pit area and four more Adirondack chairs. Located in the Wild Coast Cottage Community. Privacy may be limited due to neighbouring cottages. A few minutes away sits the marina with its oceanfront restaurant Bridgemans. A few minutes further brings you to a stunning sand beach perfect for beachcombing or just taking in the view. Closer to the cabins sits Tomi’s Home Cooking and May’s Ice Cream. Within close driving distance, you can find the Bridgemans, Coastal Cafe, The Renfrew Pub, and the General Store. A few minutes further is Botanical Beach and Botany Bay. Within a 30 min or less radius there is the Juan de Fuca trail, Sombrio Beach and its hidden waterfall, Fairy Lake, Avatar Grove and its stunning old-growth trees and much more. This area has something for everyone - if you love the outdoors Port Renfrew will not disappoint! From walking, hiking, kayaking, paddle boarding, surfing, swimming, dining, you will not run out of places to explore. Come make us your home base for your next adventure! Guest Access: Whole cottage and yard The Neighborhood: Located in a the Wild Coast Cottage community. There are neighbours close by. Privacy may be limited in outdoor areas. If you don’t feel like cooking The Renfrew Pub, Bridgeman’s West Coast Eatery down at the marina, Coastal Kitchen Café and Tomi’s Home Cooking are all a short walk away. The local General Store is about a 1km walk along Parkinson Rd and has a small selection of groceries, beer & wine. It’s a good idea to stock up on groceries on your way to Port Renfrew either in Sooke on your way from Victoria or in Lake Cowichan. The list of activities in Port Renfrew are endless; seeing some of Canada’s tallest trees, getting close and personal with marine life at Botanical Beach and hiking the West Coast and Juan De Fuca trails. There is also surfing, kayaking, beach combing, whale watching, storm watching and world class fishing. Getting Around: There's no public transit here. While you can walk to most amenities within Port Renfrew, you'll need a vehicle if you wish to get to Botanical Beach, Avatar Grove, etc. Restaurants are all within a 10-15 minute walking distance Other Things to Note: the cottage is nestled in a rainforest, surrounded by the lush beauty of nature. While the hosts make efforts to clear away cobwebs, animal and bird droppings, as well as leaves and debris before guests arrive, they kindly ask guests to understand that the cottage is situated in the habitat of these creatures. Therefore, it's natural for them to rebuild their webs and nests. Appreciating this delicate balance between human habitation and the natural environment adds to the charm of the stay. \------- There is limited cell service in Port Renfrew, but the cottage has WI-FI. Guest can email, or enable WI-FI calling on their smart phone, or use other application to call such as What's app, or others. There is also a couple pay phone in town if needed. Current cell phone providers that work in the area are Rogers, Fido, Shaw and limited Telus. —— We do our best to keep essentials like salt, pepper, and oil stocked. If you notice they're running low during your stay, feel free to let us know! Please note: we do not provide coffee, so be sure to bring your favorite brew. Pull out bed in the living room was great! Everything you need to cook and relax was there.
