You will have access to the upstairs apartment as well as the garage that you may park in if you'd like. Garage door must be opened from inside the unit, there is no remote provided. The only quim I had was communication with property manager - I had to leave messages at 3 locations before I was able to get check in information just hours before our check in - and the location. While we enjoyed our stay it would have been nice to be made more aware of the location.
