A Truly Beautiful Setting. Pet fee is $100 per dog.\* This house is just steps to mill creek and offers a great private yard with an extensive wall of boulders and a waterfall into a fishpond. There is a new in ground pool. The spacious house is ideal for 10 people. There are 4 bedrooms. Each bedroom has a Queen but in the 4th bedroom besides the Queen you will also find two twins. There are two full baths. The kitchen/dining room area is open with large windows overlooking the yard and waterfall. The house has a dishwasher, washer and dryer, cable TV, internet, flat screened TV. All the bed linens are provided but we do ask our guests to bring their own towels, paper products and soaps. All outdoor activities such as fishing, swimming in lakes, hiking, water rafting in the Hudson River, horseback riding are just minutes from us. There are 5 cabins on the property that share the in ground pool but they are further removed from the setting of this house. In the Summer months of July and August we do have a 3 night minimum. Great for large groups such as family reunions. We never ask you to transfer money to any bank account. we are set up with a secure credit card system. We were a group of 6 adults and 3 children, the rooms were perfect and the rest of the house was relaxing and well decorated. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots/pans, silverware and the such. The outside area was great, we had the fire pit, grilling/eating area to our self. Sitting by the fire and hearing the beautiful waterfall was so relaxing. Our welcome was great, Dick the care taker was so welcoming and checked on us mid weekend to make sure we had everything we needed. Pool area was shared but created a friendly atmosphere amongst all guests. I would definitely stay here again. Janet ##### Janet R. The pool is very nice and the home is not bad but out of date. The home was listed as having a hot tub which it does not and is not suitable for 14 people. We had 5 children and the couches that were to be beds were uncomfortable and 1 was damaged. The WiFI is spotty and service was very poor but your in the Mountains so that is to be expected. The kitchen has every thing you will need as far as pans, pots cutlery and dishes. There is plenty of seating in the dining are but not for leisure. Outside the fire pit is very nice. Plenty of seats and a nice picnic bench. The pond/waterfall is very relaxing. Dick Doux the caretaker while very helpful and quick to respond to any issues we had resides on the lower level of the home which we were not informed of previously. He was very friendly but we would have preferred a little more privacy. The location isn't too far out of Lake George, about 30 minutes, there is a few small stores to pick up some groceries a short drive from the home. While there were a few issues that we had it was overall a nice place to stay. ##### Cathy G. We had a fantastic time at the Sparrow's Nest and were thankful for Dick's gracious assistance. The setting is stunning and the home is extremely convenient to Gore Mountain if you are there to ski. We would absolutely stay again! ##### Bill D. Séjour de 3 nuits en février 2017 ### 6/10 – Acceptable #### Greg W. 8 janv. 2016 #### Great out-of-the-way location; quality did not meet expectations This cabin is in a nice out-of-the-way location in the southern Adirondacks. If you want peace, quiet, and isolation, you'll find it. If you want nice hiking trails within a 10-30 minute drive, you'll find them. (I particularly recommend Auger Falls for a short hike to amazing scenery.) If you're looking for shops and nightlife, this is the \*wrong place\*. Likewise if you like to pop out to buy bread and milk before breakfast, you'll be out of luck. However, for the price we paid, I would have expected minor amenities like toilet paper, towels, dish soap, etc. These little things are \*not\* provided and you have to bring your own. Considering that you'll have to stop for groceries on the way anyways this is not a huge deal, but it is an unnecessary annoyance. ##### Greg W. Séjour de 5 nuits en décembre 2015
