Summary: Newly Renovated w/ Firepit and Barbeque The Space: Ask about a discounted rate to stay for 30 days+ during the winter! Stop your search now! The Pelican is THE vacation home you will want to come to every year. Just a 5 minute walk to direct beach access and this newly renovated two level half duplex has everything you could want. You have views of the 13th green of the golf course! When you walk inside you are greeted by a sizeable living room. The chef's kitchen is adorned with granite countertops, new appliances and a drip and Keurig coffee maker for any preferences. There is also a half bathroom on the downstairs level. Upstairs you have three roomy and stylish bedrooms along with two full bathrooms. The backyard is one of the best things about the home! The privacy fence encompasses the entire backyard and helps maintain your privacy from the neighbors. There are chairs surrounding the firepit and a propane grill for you to barbeque. There's even a hammock for relaxing and Croquet if you want to play some games. Your fur babies are also welcome and we even have an outdoor shower for you to wash them off before coming inside. We also offer a free pool pass to enjoy the pool at the Holiday Inn. You also have access to fitness amenities at Holiday Inn such as water aerobics, yoga, etc. Please note Jekyll Island is a state park and as part of conservation, there is a $10 per day parking fee collected at the time you enter the island. You can pay by cash or credit card. If your stay is 3-21 nights, you will receive a beach gear credit of $35/night. Please note: For any stay 21 or more days, an additional cleaning fee of $170 will be added after booking. If the cleaning fee is unpaid 7 days prior to check-in, we reserve the right to cancel your reservation without a refund. Anything other than a regular vehicle may be prohibited or may not fit on the property. If you plan to bring a trailer, motorcycle, boat or any other commercial or recreational vehicle, please inquire with the host about whether this is allowed. Please consider purchasing travel insurance for your trip. This may cover you for instances of medical emergencies or inclement weather. We unfortunately can’t offer refunds for these types of situations so we want to ensure you’ve properly covered yourself. Pack N Play and strollers available upon request for $15 each for the duration of your stay. We walked to the beach. We drove to driftwood beach and other beaches. Nice neighborhood to walk around. Bike friendly area, nice trail all over the island. The house is very nice. 3 bathrooms. 3 bedrooms. Beautiful kitchen. Nice fenced in back yard, which we really appreciate, having dogs. Bikes and beach chairs we could use. Chairs in the back yard and solo fire place in backbyard. We didnt use it but its there. Along with a grill. Everything was clean. Easy to unlock the door. Great instructions from the owner for how to get in. Nice appliances. Plenty of dishes for us to use. We had plenty of tltpilet paper and everything elase we needed as well.We took our dogs everywhere. We walked beaches 3 times a day. We took them to Fuse Frozen Yogurt and we got yummy icecream and they got free puppy cups. We took them to Tortuga Jacks and had dinner. Food was ok. Some construction work was going on and scared our Golden, but they bring o I t a bowl of wayer for your dogs. Very nice wait staff. Prices were ok, and amou t of food was filling. We saw deer every evening on the way home from where ever we were coming from.I dont know what else to say. Immaculately clean and well appointed for a comfortable home away from home. Check-in and out were super easy. The location is great, just a few blocks from the beach, the pool, and nearby resturants. We appreciated the generous provision of basic necessities and the well equipped kitchen. Our only disappointment is that the bicycles advertised in the home description were in very poor condition and not dependable to ride beautiful Jekyll Island trail system. May 12, 2025 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, listing accuracy #### Bright, Spotless, Great for Dogs This is a duplex on a slightly depressing street of 1970's duplexes situated a couple blocks from the beach, but if you are looking for a safe place where your dogs can be let into a fenced yard with no worries, this is it.Renovated completely with nice new appliances. Immaculately clean. Bright and open with no clutter. Very quiet neighborhood with regular visits by several deer (and a couple of vultures?). The deer are completely unafraid, which freaked out our dogs. Thankfully, the backyard fence is new and sturdy.The beach, and all that Jekyll has to offer, are only scant minutes away, so don't let the duplex neighborhood scare you away from this property. The backyard looks out onto the wooded golf course, which is nice.Our only disappointment was that the bicycles and other outdoor equipment had been left out in the weather all winter and needed cleaning/service.
