Cozy mountain cabin on 15 acre Animal Sanctuary

Our cozy Guest House cabin is located on Forever Young Sanctuary- a 15 acre slice of heaven in the North Georgia mountains.

We are a pet friendly, simple living homestead with an eclectic menagerie of animals including Alpacas and Donkeys.

The Guest House has a small fenced-in back yard, a back patio with a new gas grill & a private fire pit stocked with dry wood.

The Forever Young Pavilion includes a large swimming pool (in process now!) ready spring 2024, a spacious outdoor eating area, multiple grills, large hot-tub and a new bath house (completed Jan 2024)

Located between Jasper & Ellijay on Burnt Mountain-- we are close to hiking, vineyards, destination mountain towns and festivals.

Perfect for Us
The hosts were so friendly, responsive and engaging. We like the rustic setting. The place was clean with nice plush towels, robes and linens. Way better than another place I stayed that labeled itself “luxury”. Even though it’s a nice country setting it was conveniently located to everything we needed to get to.

Here's why I fell in love with this serene haven: 🏡 Cozy Cabin Bliss: The Forever Young cabin, aptly named, enveloped me in warmth from the moment I stepped inside. Rustic wooden beams, a crackling fireplace, and snug furnishings set the scene. It felt like a secret refuge, far away from the hustle and bustle. 🌲 Nature's Embrace Imagine waking up to the gentle symphony of birdsong and rustling leaves. The sanctuary's 15 acres are home to an eclectic menagerie—Alpacas, Donkeys, and more. Each morning, I sipped my coffee on the porch, watching the sun paint the mountains in hues of gold. 🌈 Animal Encounters: Jimmy, Buffet, and Flip-Flop—the Huacaya Alpacas—greeted me with curious eyes. Their soft fleece and gentle demeanor melted my heart. And then there was Peanut, the donkey, who seemed to tolerate his bath with a mix of resignation and stubbornness. 🛌 Restful Nights: The cabin's cozy bed cocooned me after days of exploration. I slept like a contented bear, dreaming of starlit skies and winding trails. The simplicity of life here—no rush, no noise—was a balm for my soul. 👩‍❤️‍👨 Gracious Hosts: Kevin and Karen Young, former Peace Corps Volunteers, radiate kindness. They shared stories of their adventures in North Macedonia, and their passion for sustainable living shines through.

First time to Jasper
Our cabin at Forever Young Sanctuary was perfect for our weekend visit. We enjoyed having a fire with the fire pit, wood and lighter all provided. The location on Burnt Mountain was so convenient between Jasper and the Gibbs Gardens at Ball Ground. We will return again!

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at the Cabin, my children enjoyed the animals too. The cabin has everything you can possibly need. The Host were very friendly, kind and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay and it was very affordable. Jasper is a beautiful city, breathtaking views, We will defintely visit again, thank you.

Best VRBO ever!!!
Let me start with the space itself, it was the cleanest vrbo we have ever stayed in. Amazing beds and everything you will need! Wifi is great, had no problem working from there. Kids loved the themed room with fun surprises. The space is great, private and quiet, but even though the space is great, it isn't even close to being the best part of the rental. Kevin, Karen, Jimmy, Buffett, Flip Flop, Sweet Pea, Peanut, Cora, Puffins, Muffin, Bindi, Bailey, Ginger, and Mary Ann are the main reasons why this rental is so great. My daughter's loved the animals. We hung out with Kevin around the big fire pit for a couple hours. Both Karen and Kevin are so accommodating and genuinely some of the nicest people I ever met. We will definitely be back!!! Thank y'all again!

Amazing Location
Property was great. Plenty of room for the 5 of us. Owners are amazing and friendly. Close to many things to do, and the welcome brownies were delicious. They even helped send a forgotten item home. Went above and beyond.

Best brownies we ever had from Karen. Beautiful property with lovely animals . At the house you can find everything you need. Back yard was huge bonus for ours dogs fully fenced. Karen and Kevin provide you with everything you need and even more. Thank you for letting us stay:)
