(1,005 reviews) Great location for our visit to York. So convenient for travel with the train nearby and a short walk into the historic area. Morning breakfast was average fair served by attentive, kind staff. It was a great way to start the day. Staff was consistently polite and welcoming each and every time we left and arrived (we stayed for six days). Our room was unfortunately right above the carriage entrance of this older property, so noise was an issue from late night revelers but also other guests who passed by at all hours talking and laughing loudly. That may have just been for our room, but it was an issue.
