More Detail : The home is a 1-level cedar ranch with \~2000 sqft and plenty of space in every room.Having undergone arecent full-scale renovation, it now offers anopen concept kitchen, living and dining area to provide just the right atmosphere to relax and unwind after enjoying all that Amelia Island has to offer! Buccaneer Bungalow (named after the island's rich pirate history) has 4 bedrooms and 3 Baths: The Master (Commodore) BR has a King and private bath. The Amelia BR (Queen) and Fernandina BR (4 Fulls) share a hall bath w/ 2 sinks and tub/shower combo. The Mai BR (Queen) has its own private bath and shower. There is a front porch with 4 rocking chairs, A spacious screened-in porch with seating for 7, a patio dinette w/ seating for 4, and a Firepit area with seating for at least 14\. There is also a covered boathouse w/ a ping-pong table and charcoal grill. The backyard has plenty of space for kids (or pets) to run-around and there is even a peek-a-boo view of the Amelia River a couple hundred yards away. The entire house and property are accessible to guests (and not shared). What makes Buccaneer Bungalow further standout? We try to make each stay a special experience. We provide water, coffee k-cups, and an optional bottle of wine at no additional cost, in addition to starter kits of soaps, shampoos, detergents and trash-bags.We have a guidebook here with some of our favorite activities and places to eat. If there is anything else we can do to make your vacation on the island special, please let us know! Where are we located? Buccaneer Bungalow is on Buccaneer Trail, formerly known as Canopy Road. It is shaded by large beautiful live oaks hundreds of years old! Though it is a through street, it is one lane each way and road noise is minimal (especially during the evenings and nights). There are many beautiful homes nearby. It is a very safe and quiet neighborhood and properties are well-maintained.Buccaneer Bungalow has a large enclosed backyard with natural beauty, just a few hundred feet from the Amelia River and only 1 mile from the Beach! (w/ sidewalks all the way!). Other close attractions include a Harris Teeter and shopping center with many services and restaurants. There are both public and private beaches very close by, including Peters Point, The Ritz, The Omni & Summer Beach. It's a lovely part of the Island and we know you'll enjoy it! Parking and Getting Around : Guests can walk, bike or drive to the beach (less than 1 mile away!). Most guests drive to get around the island in general. Parking is ample at our home (about 4 vehicles). There is also a boathouse that can be rented for a small fee (please contact us). Throughout the island, Parking is typically available. There are also sidewalks and biketrails in the neighborhood and throughout most of the island. It's a lovely place to ride! Many locals use golf-carts to scoot around town and there are also rentals available for guests. All public beaches provide parking and some offer drive-on but require 4-wheel-drive. Ample parking for 4 vehicles in the garden circle in front, plus at least 1 vehicle in the garage. We do not charge for pets but do have limits. We had a wonderful time at this home. Our party of 8 adults had plenty of room to relax and spend time together. Everything about the home was great. The home had an extremely well stocked large kitchen. Large open living area with a comfortable sectional sofa and chairs. We also enjoyed the large screened back porch that had a ceiling fan and smart TV. We had access to 4 great bikes which we enjoyed riding around the island. We had access to beach chairs, umbrellas for shade and some very nice boogie boards which we enjoyed on the beach. Harris Teeter was right down the street as well as a great coffee shop. Wifi was fast and worked flawlessly. The AC worked great and would freeze you out if you wanted it to. We had 4 cars and had plenty of parking. Séjour de 7 nuits en mars 2025 ### 10/10 – Excellent #### JOHN M. 18 févr. 2025 Points forts : Propreté #### Buccaneer Bungalow -- best VRBO experience we've ever had We were on Amelia Island and the Jacksonville area for our son's wedding weekend. We needed a place that was easy to access, had all the amenities (and updated, nice amenities, I might add) and could accommodate 4-5 couples. Buccaneer Bungalow checked all those boxes and then some. First, the open kitchen leading into the open living room with plenty of seating and a huge kitchen island gave us a place to congreate in the mornings and at night -- perfect for big groups who want more time interacting. Just off the kitchen is the screen in patio. I'm the Dad of this group and had work to do, so the screened in patio was a perfect office space to get away but still see what's going on inside. The bathrooms/showers are relatively newly remodeled, so their big, bright and luxurious. Same with the kitchen and appliances.The location was great, too. We're runners and wanted to run on the beach in the mornings. I didn't measure the distance exactly, but there was an easy mile or so run through a neighborhood before we were on the beach. We got in 4 mile runs each morning and that's just about perfect for us. We are also eaters, and once again the location was great. We were just minutes drive from historic Fernandina Beach with all of its great restaurants and bars.Finally, the owner/manager/host Brian was outstanding. Not too much, not too little. As the title of this review says, this was the best rental experience ever. ##### JOHN M. We appreciated the number of spaces that were available for us to gather both inside and out the well appointed property. The Ping Pong table, barbeque, swing, games, firepit - all added to our family fun. We even used the bikes to ride along the beach. The spacious and open front room/ dining/ kitchen area was wonderful for our large gathering. Kitchen was well equipped with plenty of dishes for eating. There was plenty of room for parking and easy accessibility to the beach and groceries. The owner was very responsive and considerate. The home provided a welcome for us all. ##### Anne H. Huge fenced in yard for the dog. Just my husband, myself and our dog so definitely a lot of space! So close to the beach,13 min from amazing restaurants and bars (and a few even closer ). The Amelia Island location was terrific to enjoy the home, screened in porch, backyard and the very well appointed kitchen to cook. We were thrilled to be within a 20 minute walk to the Atlantic ocean and use the 4 beach bikes for those who preferred. The beach equipment - belly boards, chairs, etc. made it fun for all of us. In October we had the beach to ourselves even though it was 80+ degrees every day. We also enjoyed the more laid back vibe of Fernandina Beach with its restaurants and cocktail bars which are a short drive. Brian was an awesome host. Very responsive, helpful and willing to assist in any way. Thank you!! ##### Mark N. Super clean, with a large open floor plan, that flows to the screened in porch. Furnishings are modern the kitchen and baths look new overall it’s a very cool vibe. Well stocked with entertainment options. Brian is a super host very responsive and accommodating. Location is great easy to downtown FB, beaches, airport and state parks. Peter’s Point park is walkable or take the bikes! Awesome hotdog truck one block over, a coffee shop and Harris Teeters also nearby. Coastal oaks shade the yard. Stop looking, book the Buccaneer Bungalow! ##### Jen M.
