The Inn and the staff were charming and helpful.it felt completely safe for a single traveler. People were friendly everywhere. Downside was lack of transportation to the historic town. Would be great to have a trolly shuttle. I will be back though, so lovely.

We enjoyed this hotel very much. Great location on a beautiful beach, lovely staff, nice breakfast, very clean. The reason I gave 4 stars vs. 5 was the AC. It was so noisy we had to shut it off during the night. That said, we’d definitely stay here again.

Every ding of the elevator can be heard in the room as well as conversations from people in the hallway. Pullout couch bed is very uncomfortable. Needed to put mattress on the floor and buy a foam topper at Walmart so that our daughter could sleep on it. Great location and excellent breakfast buffet were appreciated. Staff is very helpful.

Overall the stay was good. However, it was VERY loud, until around midnight each night. And then, breakfast is supposed to end at 11. We went down at 10:15, they were already putting the food up. We asked for the cereal for our 2 year old and the worker was EXTREMELY rude about it.

The staff at the Inn are what makes it a great stay. They are super friendly and care about making your stay the best. It was not the cleanest room... Toothpaste on the shower walls, Food in the microwave, etc. Other than that, it was a great stay.

Beautiful quiet property right on the beach! I loved staying here for an extended weekend. I will say the food options in the immediate area are limited. However, the hotel is very close to the downtown area where there are restaurants and cafes.

It was one of the best Hotels that we stayed in. Just right in front of the beach, our room had an awesome ocean view, rooftop was beautiful, lots of parking space. Near parks and recreational activities. Restaurants are just few minutes walk, it was quiet, clean and they had delicious breakfast. Friendly staff and our stay was just amazing.

Really nice property and location. Very disappointed that our check-in was at 4 o’clock after a long drive could not get in till 5:45. I asked to speak to a manager and I was told that they would give me a call. Never heard from them, so apparently this must be a constant problem from what I’ve read from other peoples reviews.

Room had quite a few housekeeping issues (no towels in bathroom, door was found open on check-in (supposedly housekeeping leaves doors open at times to air out rooms), bathroom was not adequately cleaned (prior guest's soap with hair was still in tub, soap dish not cleaned), bed sheets had stains, body hair and some grainy substance in bed (presumably sand), mattress was old/springy with duct tape on it, and ceiling fan was a safety concern as some of the blades were loose. Our worst hotel stay to date in the past 20 yrs of travel. No email response by management regarding issues. Had to go down to reception desk 4x on arrival day to get towels, linen and report issues. Not worth staying here even though it is right on the beach. Parking is also limited with a few spots (about 10) with direct hotel access, and with some nearby hotel parking available.

The pros are as follows front desk clerk Liz-wonderful and so sweet. Breakfast was plenty and good variety. Beach a few feet away. Room had 2 TVs, nice size refrigerator, Kureg, microwave. The cons are as follows the room 2 room ocean view suite so tiny, little wardrobe closet, old and worn. Some areas very dirty legs of chairs, lamp, corners- needs a good scrubbing. No housekeeping, only received 2 bath towels had to replenish myself, no hair dryer-empty sack, ironing board no iron. Elevator doors filthy. Lobby and dining area were clean.

We arrived early and called the hotel to see if we might get an early check-in. We were told that the room wasn't ready, which was fine, so we waited. At 4pm, check-in time, the room wasn't ready, nor was it ready at 5pm or 6pm. The lady at the front desk told us that housekeeping was understaffed and someone had called in sick. We finally got to our room after six o'clock and when we did it was obvious the floor had not been vacuumed and the bathroom had not been cleaned. There was detritus on the floor and a used washcloth hanging in the shower, and the toilet bowl was extremely unpleasant. Also, there wasn't any hand soap on the vanity. My husband cleaned the tub. There was no daily maid service so the floor didn't get vacuumed the entire time we were there, even though I called and told the front desk about the bathroom and the floor. This was our third stay at the Seaside Amelia because we like the fact that it is right on the beach and within walking distance to Fort Clinch State Park, but after this fiasco I'm not sure we will ever stay there again.

We couldn’t check in till after 5:00. We got there a little before 4:00. The clerk was very nice and apologized but we had driven all day, and were tired. They seemed light on staff. Someone else should have pitched in and gotten the rooms cleaned on time. We had heard this had happened earlier in the week also. Management seems to ignore issues in the hotel. More clerks in the afternoon and additional cleaning staff seems essential.

There are two front desk staff members. The later afternoon/evening shift (long dark hair) woman is LOVELY and kind. When I noticed that there wasn't a "do not disturb" hanger on the door she told me that housekeeping only comes upon request and that no one will disturb me. The morning/early afternoon shift (short dark hair): Day 1 she called me three times to tell me my dogs were barking when I had to run to urgent care due to a mishap. Doubtful since I had a 2 way "nanny cam" in the room - I was paranoid about leaving them there while I went to the doctor. As I checked the cam they were asleep. As soon as I rushed back I heard two dogs parking that are not mine. Honest mistake I suppose. Day 2 this same woman comes to my door with a housekeeper. Said they thought the room was empty and left. Then she calls me yet again to ask if I'm in the room they just knocked on, that they thought I was in another room. I then clarified and asked if she was sure it was MY dogs that were barking the previous day? She said yes. Honest mistake? Later the same day, third knock on the door. I was in the bathtub and had to get out. No one was there. I got a strong feeling the morning clerk checks periodically to make sure dogs aren't left unattended in the rooms. This soured an otherwise great experience. Location A . Clean, modern. A . Dog friendly? Yes, minus intrusive behavior Expedia didn't disclose a $100 pet fee so be aware of that. It was reasonable but not expected.

Our stay here was wonderful! Convenient location to the beach and close to many stores and restaurants. The room was clean and had a refrigerator, microwave and kureig. Can’t wait to visit again!

Lovely place to stay right on the beach near a great little downtown area just down the road. They have a convenient breakfast included in the morning and free parking.
