The unit is exquisitely decorated with comfortable high end furnishings, flat screen TV's with cable and DVD players in family room and master bedroom, Bose stereo system, and free WiFi internet. The family and dining rooms have unequaled views of the entire beach and a full-length balcony which includes sitting chairs and table for four that allows one to enjoy the ocean breezes. The master bedroom has a king size bed with pillow top mattress and private bath with large tiled shower. Both bedrooms have balconies that overlook the golf course, Ixtapa Marina, and the mountains. The. Second bedroom has two full-size beds that sleeps 4, both of which have pillow top mattresses. There is ample dresser and closet space for clothing in both rooms. All rooms offer ceiling fans with bedrooms having electronic bedside controls. The unit has two-zone air conditioning although the ocean breezes that waft through when the windows are open are frequently all that is needed. The dining room, which adjoins the family room, has a large onyx table that seats 8 comfortably. In addition, there is an adjoining bar (but this must be self stocked). The kitchen is well stocked with all modern appliances including dishwasher, gas range, oven, and microwave. In addition, we supply a toaster, blender, coffee maker, teapot, and all necessary utensils, pots, pans, and serving dishes. Clothes washer and dryer are also located in the unit. The complex offers a first class resort-style experience where every attempt to cater to your needs is made. There is 24 hour front entrance and beach side security as well as a 24 hour lobby attendant. The second floor gymnasium is large, free and includes several top of the line excercise machines. The gym faces the ocean and has large floor to ceiling windows, just as in the apartments. Additionally, there is an on-site spa with steam and sauna rooms and massage services. On the ground level there is a large children's play room overflowing with toys and games for multiple ages. There is a lighted tennis and paddle ball courts on site and ample parking. Adjacent to the administrative office, there is a business center and large theater Area. The pool area is top of the line. There is ample sun or shaded seating and a phenomenal 70 meter infinity pool overlooking the beach. Additionally, there is a large children's wading pool, a separate adults only pool and two large jacuzzis. Seating around the pool is plentiful or there are additional lounges under the palapas on the beach. There is poolside drink and snack service available from the snack bar which also serves as the on-site restaurant where the food is quite good and affordable. The complexes wireless internet is also accessible poolside. The beach itself is a 1.75 mile stretch of soft sand with gentle surf comfortable for children as well as boogie boarders and body surfers. Jet-skis, para-sailing, kayaking, and banana boat rides are also available. The town of Ixtapa is small but offers multiple dining experiences from inexpensive to fine dining and all of it excellent. There many small shops and a local small craft market, ATM's, banks, pharmacies, coffee bars, gelato shops, and convenience stores nearby. In addition there are several clubs that offer an active night life as well. Although rental cars are available cabs are plentiful. The rides to and from Zihuatanejo are inexpensive where there are additional restaurants, shops, and a fully stocked supermarket. Our local management company will greet you and orient you to the facility and the unit. If desired pick up at the airport can also be arranged. They are readily available by phone, email, or front desk personnel at the complex can contact them for you. Smaller rear balcony is useful to have when front balcony is in full sun. Air conditioning works well. I overlooked the fact that the snack back near the pool is actually a full service restaurant and bar offering breakfast, lunch and dinner. We used it often. Our site manager was Erick Montera. We failed to ask for all contact information like phone, text, and email. Make sure that you as questions may arise during your stay. We intentionally visited at the quiet time of early December and really enjoyed the lack of guests at this time. The staff are uniformly pleasant and helpful. We didn’t rent a car but used taxis and busses to get around. We only visited Zihuatanejo once for dinner so can’t give a review of that community. We had a lovely stay and would rent this condominium again in a second. ##### Joseph W. The location of the unit was perfect, and the cleanliness was a big welcome! From the moment we walked in, we were very impressed with the layout, the size, the decor, the little extras (bar, games, towels, soaps, etc.) and the view. Another unexpected perk was the unit had two cleanings scheduled during our stay. (I stayed in the North Tower back in February and we had to pay extra for the cleaning onsite.) The host was an added bonus. So courteous, considerate, and responsive with answering all my questions. This place was certainly a treat! We found numerous hairs in the baths. There was considerable sand on all the tile floors. The bedrooms and kitchen appliances were fine. The A/C above the kitchen ceiling was leaking water continuously causing constant mopping. The kitchen ceiling was severely damaged due to this water leak. So bad that it appeared to be leaking for several weeks if not months. When we reported the leaking to the property manager, she said it was just reported by the previous tenant but obviously that was not true. ##### Gary M. We had a few issues in the condo we stayed in, kitchen tap, toilet, and some cleanliness complaints. The view is fantastic. Quieter location being 15 minute walk from the main Ixtapa area which we liked. Apartment had all the amenities needed with a really nice layout. Beds were super comfy. We had a few issues, mostly minor that were fixed by property management. One issue with the fridge that we had to work around. Note there are a couple different rules and costs for short term renters (less than 15 days I believe) such as gym usage, 300peso wrist band. More beach palapas would be nice as they get snapped up pretty early (like many other resorts in Mexico). I would rent this unit again but likely for a longer term. ##### Sandra Z. Lovely balcony views, pool and beach area. Restaurant on site was super convenient, affordable, good variety and great service. Kitchen was great but we just did coffee and snacks. The ONLY drawback was our unit’s towels and bedding were super old and needed replaced hopefully the owners will take care of that. ##### Jennifer R. Everything was well-appointed and communication with Jackie and Erik was stellar. We loved the large balcony to watch the sunrise and the whales in the morning as well as the large living room to have a break from the sun. Between being able to cook our own meals, eat at the poolside restaurant or walk into town for dinner (or taxi into Zihuatanejo for 150 pesos), we had such a relaxing and affordable experience at BVG! The beach on this end of Ixtapa is much quieter than the other side which made it even more relaxing. We could walk down the beach for massages and parasailing but then come back for a more peaceful beach experience. Everything was truly paradise! ##### Erik H. The accommodations in the condo and at the complex are wonderful! Howard was very accommodating to our questions both before and during our stay. The condo complex is perfect in every way. The views, the food, the service, and the location. We enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and took advantage of the spa. We dined at the resort, the marina, and in town and didn’t mind the walk in the least. Howard arranges for cleaning service during your stay and she kept the place in great condition. This spacious condo is well equipped for everything, from cooking to children’s pool toys to super comfortable beds. The view is fabulous, we spent every morning and evening on the balcony. We loved the decor as well! The owner of the condo was very attentive to some small questions we had and promptly contacted his property manager to look after everything for us.
