Another was arriving at houses that were sparsely stocked or having to rent additional equipment. Everything is thoughtfully labeled in the house, which is really handy when you just want to know what light switch turns on which light! The kitchen and bathrooms are VERY well stocked.The canal out back is very nice and my kids actually caught some cool fish out there. Manatees came to visit there are well. We loved the kayaks and paddle boards. The home is over 100 years old but beautifully updated. The views will take your breath away.Perhaps the best part is Michele. It is rare that you rent a property with the level of dishware, silverware and kitchen tools that this place has. Also, the decoration made you feel at home, not like you were inside a rental. The porch is great for sitting and the view was wonderful. We did have strong winds that pushed alot of sargassum on the beach the first day. It was not cleared until our final day. Our family of eleven vacationed together to help celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. The house was very well equipped with all of our needs.The upstairs toilets both had some issues with running until we jiggled the handles. Also the hand towel holder needs to be repaired, as it was broken upon arrival. Also a rocking chair on the back porch broke while my husband was sitting in it, but he fixed it with some tools he found in the closet. The kitchen, living room seating, and all bedrooms were PERFECT! The home had everything our family, including our two year old granddaughter, could need. The layout of the house is fantastic and extremely comfortable. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals for large groups. Outside the pool is a great spot to hangout after being out on the water. We rented a boat for the week of our rental and kept it in the creek at the Last Resort’s Dock which is a great amenity if you would like to have a boat on vacation. There were also standup paddle boards, kayaks and bikes available. When we walked up the porch steps and in the front door we were faced with an amazing view of the calm ocean and palm trees on the sandy beach and we knew it was going to be a good vacation. The house is spacious and beautifully appointed. The pool and outdoor seating and dining were great. Everything we needed was at the ready. There were two...or more...of everything in the kitchen.There were lots of activities for all ages in the area. Our children arranged for a bagpiper to play from the upper deck and then on the beach on our last night and it was a magical way to end a magical week. Don't bring a beach or pool towel, there are plenty ready to go. Beach toys, pool toys, Kayaks, Beach Chairs, Grill (with Propane and back up tanks). Are you traveling with young children (we had a 6 month old in our party)? They have what you need, high chairs, swings, nursery area, stroller, etc... The kitchen has a ton of supplies as well, spices, appliances, aluminum foil, parchment paper, and more. This place has 2 washing machines and 2 dryers so just bring a few things, pack light, and use the wash often, be a tourist! Communication with the property before during and after was quick, easy and responsive. They truly want you to have a good time and focus on your vacation. Make sure to take advantage of all the tours and offerings Robbie's has while on the island. Definitely a good time there. We laugh and describe that when we pulled up in our 3 car caravan that we all got put in awe like we just arrived at Jurrasic Park. We ran up like school girls to unlock the door and check put our island palace for the week. Birthday Bubbles from Michele were waiting for us, so we all grabbed a glass and headed for the top deck. And hour later we realized we hadn't unpacked the cars, when we got there we also realized we were so excited that EVERY SINGLE car door was wide open! Ha ha The house in impeccably maintained with anything and everything you could possibly need. I'm a Catering Director and there were so many goodies that we had a beautiful dinner with a fully set table, make sure you snoop to find the good stuff! A private sandy beach(which you dont find often in the Keys, spans the whole backside of the house and a huge pool and deck (where we spent most of the time) has enough room for a great BBQ and lounging room for all. If the beds could've fit in our luggage, they would've been packed! I scoffed at my own bed when I got home. And make sure everyone gets a chance to shower in the upstairs master, sharing is caring. It's too nice not too! Last.....make sure you get up for Sunrise, get a cup of coffee, and sit on a rocker on the back porch. Be careful though hours may go by while the ocean keeps you calmly tranced! We had a great time in the pool, really enjoyed the back porch with the breeze all day long. We were not able to walk into the water from the beach because of the seaweed but walked out onto to the dock. House had everything. Instacart delivers so we only left for dinner a few times.
