And then there is the wildlife. The nature here is the real headline act. I still cannot believe I got to cuddle a spider monkey every day. Her name was Niña and she took it upon herself to knock on my door every single morning like my own tiny furry alarm clock. She would wander in, hop on the bed and settle in for cuddles. I mean, who gets to say that. Five minutes from my room I had flamingos. Around every corner I would spot monkeys, deer, iguanas and parrots. It felt like living inside a tropical daydream. Everything felt clean and cared for during my stay. The rooms are no-frills simple and showers are basic, but you’re surrounded by so much beauty that it all just melts into the background. The food was decent with plenty of choice. It’s on the pricier side for what it is, but given the location I totally get why.
