The interior is a combination of traditional oak beams; comfy sofa's but with a modern country kitchen providing all the facilities to make sure your stay is stress free. The ground floor is open plan and provides plenty of space for a cool haven in the summer or a cosy intimate ambiance on those cooler evenings when you choose to light the wood burner. There is also electric central heating available. There is a utility room, with washing machine, and separate WC on the ground floor. The first floor provides a large double bedroom with a king size bed, and two single rooms, all with plenty of wardrobes and drawer space. There is a large family bathroom with a lovely corner bath and hand shower. Towels and bed linen are all included. The landing has a lovely peaceful area where you can just sit in a comfortable Queen Anne chair and take in the view and relax. (Always a favorite quiet area with our guests). A small staircase takes you to the third floor to the 2nd double bedroom. The kids always find this fascinating as they feel it’s a hide away from the grown ups! Outside you have large safe garden, BBQ, patio table and chairs, and sun loungers. The pool is open May to September and is a heated outdoor above ground pool which adds to the security and safety. The large raised terrace has sun-beds, patio set and umbrella for extra comfort. There is also a foot bath and solar powered shower. The pool is sheltered with 3 sides of tall hedgerows and beautiful archways full of passion flowers and climbing roses. The pool is shared with 2 other properties at Les Basses Beaulinges. Each property has their own garden all of which have plants and tall hedges to screen the gardens so that none of the properties overlook one another. The immediate surrounding area provides peaceful walks in all seasons. The Chase (tree lined avenue) is beautiful at all times of the year from an abundance of the first signs of spring with all the buds, an arch of green foliage in summer to the gorgeous golden and red autumn leaves as winter approaches. Here you can take an invigorating stroll where you can observe the local wildlife. This could include deer, bunnies and birds; there are a lot of buzzards and hawks in the area. Don’t forget the cows who will always be curious as you stroll by. Take a look at the video to see an overall view of the property and immediate peaceful surrounding area. Animals Dogs are welcome, subject to approval, please request at time of booking and identify the breed. We do not accept cats. Facilities include TV & Video CD & DVD player A selection of DVD and music CD are available to use. Heel fijn groot mooi vakantiehuis, erg schoon en koel en heel ruim met 4x slaapkamers. Alles wat je nodig hebt is er, met een heel groot stuk prive eromheen om lekker ongestoord te kunnen genieten. Zelfs aan een droogmolen buiten is gedacht. Eigenaren zijn erg aardig en heel behulpzaam. Als je wat nodig hebt zijn ze er zo om je te helpen. Supermarkt op 5 minuten rijden en grotere supermarkten lidl etc. op 15 minuten rijden. Erg mooie stille omgeving, ook het zwembad was prima en heerlijk op temperatuur. Een echte aanrader om op vakantie te gaan, we gaan er vast en zeker nog een keer naar toe terug. Ze waren graag bereid om advies te geven voor uitstapjes en kwamen ook tussendoor even vragen of alles in orde was, wat wij zeer waardeerden. Wij waren met twee personen en ons hondje en hadden een grote vakantiewoning! Ook met 6 mensen heb je in dit huis zeker de ruimte. Heel leuk en mooi deze verbouwde schuur! De keuken is van alle gemakken voorzien en heel ruim. Heel speels ingedeeld, ook de bovenverdieping. Onze bedden waren prima. De tuin is ook geweldig en helaas door het frisse voorjaarsweer hebben wij er niet echt gebruik van gemaakt. Daardoor was het branden van de houtkachel, waarvoor hout aanwezig was, ook heel gezellig en lekker warm. Verder was de verwarming ook in orde. Met mooi weer is het gebruik van het zwembad en de daarbij behorende ligstoelen een heerlijkheid. Het ziet er allemaal goed verzorgd uit. Geweldige plek voor kinderen dus ook! Het toilet beneden is wat klein, maar boven in de badkamer is er ook een. Heel fijn ook de aanwezigheid van een wasmachine. Het was geen probleem om de scootmobiel van mijn man op te laden in de entree. Er was zoveel ruimte, dat deze niet in de weg stond. Voor ons was Le Mont Saint Michel een rede om hierheen te komen, maar er is zoveel te zien hier en de kuststrook biedt zoveel mooie plekjes, wandelingen en stadjes, dat we tijd te kort kwamen. Saint Malo is erg leuk om ook te bezoeken en wij hebben er heerlijk gegeten (vis) in restaurant Lion D'Or, vlak na de poort van de grote parkeerhavens. Het oude stadje Fougères en het prachtige kasteel kunnen wij ook zeker aanraden. Je hopt een beetje van Normandië naar Bretagne . Wij houden ervan om heerlijk rustig te zitten, op een wat meer afgelegen plek. Maar er is binnen een half uurtje rijden al zoveel te zien! Het landschap en de kleinere weggetjes rijden zijn ook echt vakantie ritjes waar je van moet genieten. Het huis en de omgeving zijn een aanrader! Haus, Garten und Pool lassen keine Wünsche offen. Alles ist top ausgestattet, sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und sauber. Die Vermieter sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit, auch der Kontakt vor der Anreise war sehr unkompliziert. Shame about the weather!! We had a lovely week in this beautifully decorater, spacious and very comfortable gite. Mark and Lynda are very friendly and welcoming, nothing seems too much trouble! The pool is lovely - unfortunately we had a lot of wind and rain for the week, so we didn't use it (and the whole outside area - seating, loungers, outdoor heating, large garden) as much as we would have liked to! The area is beautiful, if very rural. The towns nearby are lovely, but be aware that everything shuts down for the afternoon as is French culture, and there is very limited choice to eat out before 7/7:30pm, which was a bit of an issue having two small children who need to be in bed by then! St Malo was lovely and seems a bit more cosmopolitan (so being closer to here may give more daytime options for young families?). Mont St Michel is only 30mins away, as is Alligator Bay - both worth a trip. Overall a lovely stay in a very well-appointed gite! Thank you Mark and Lynda! ##### Laurie P.
