Convenient and peaceful stay

An ideal over night stay - lovely host and Dune was very helpful. Awesome breakfast which kept me going all day:-) Area was quiet so one got a peaceful nights rest.

Great accomodation, location & on-site restaurant

Very good accommodation and a great location for visiting Mountain Zebra National Park which is only 10 minutes away. Plus they have recently added a super restaurant which must be the best in Cradock. We will definitely be back at Albert House the next time we visit Cradock and Mountain Zebra National Park.

Nice room overlooking a rose garden in beautiful premises. Excellent breakfast in the adjoining restaurant. Unfortunately the internet was not working well.

It’s a wonderful unique property owned by a friendly couple. Very nice people. The room is nice, clean, and comfy. I had a short stay. But, it was great 👍

A gem in Cradock

Lovely old house in a peaceful street just off the main route to Cape Town. New owners have great plans for the house, but currently a bit tired. The gardens are a real treat, with lots of places to relax.

Albert House is the most beautiful house in Cradock. Gorgeous gardens and a stately, historic colonial home. It's a stunner! We stayed in a room in the garden which was perfectly adequate. If the new owners fix a few tiny things (shower door handle, new mugs and stocking the kitchenette with dishcloths etc), I would give it a five star rating anytime.

Beautiful House, lovely brand new owners who are very accommodating to guests needs . Gorgeous garden. Great linen, clean , comfortable room.

Unieke sfeer in Albert House, een huis vol historie. Charles, de eigenaar is een zeer vriendelijke, grappige man. Prima plek om te overnachten als je naar Mountain Zebra will.

No privacy

Everything was OK but for the privacy. Anyone walking or standing outside our room could see inside the bedroom, even during the day with no light in the bedroom. At night it was even worse. We could not sleep. The door needs to have a curtain or a cover of some kind.

Un manque de soin dans les finitions, l'aménagement et le confort. L'ensemble fait rafistolage et bricolage. Un manque de vigilance avec absence de papier toilette, malgré un check-list de contrôle affichée...mais comme elle date de mars 2016, tout s'explique 🤗. Résume bien l'établissement. Petit déjeuner correct Jardin et extérieur tres beau et secteur calme.

Good location

Good location and easy access . Very comfortable beds but and very bland room with no decor on the walls. The small bathroom was a huge let down with a shower that only gave a sparse sprinkle and no space to move.

Sehr schöne Umgebung, absolut freundlicher Empfang

Sehr schöner Garten, ausgesprochen netter Gastgeber, der auch ein sehr gutes Frühstück serviert hat. Leider ist das Badezimmer sehr in die Jahre gekommen und funktionierte nicht angemessen. Die Betten waren ok, Sauberkeit ok, für eine Nacht ging es. Der nette Hausherr und der traumhafte Garten wiegen viel auf.

2018 Cape road trip

Room was clean and neat but rather mediocre. The shower had hardly hot water flowing, the sounds from the room next door was disturbing and one could follow the next door conversations. Visitor's reception leaves much to be desired. Recommending this B&B to friends, certainly not.

Close to Mountain Zebra & wonderful hosts

Charles was a wonderful host and he and his wife took us to a local advent carol service. The accommodation was in a lovely garden setting and was ideally located for access to the Mountain Zebra National Park

Beautiful hotel in a quiet area.

We had only a one night stay. The hotel itself is in a beautiful old house with a wonderful garden. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Downtown Cradock is in walking distance.

Old world charm

Lovely stay in this historic house. Our room didn't have a shower and no handheld shower head in the bath. Apparently it is 1 of 2 rooms that only has a bath. Very friendly staff, would love to have a kuier with the owner.
