It is at the top of a mountain overlooking the historic New River. This cabin has everything you would ever want in a vacation rental. It has an open-concept kitchen with access to the front deck for beautiful countryside, mountain views, as well gorgeous views of the river. So close you can hear the river right from the front deck. The kitchen is also fully stocked with brand new stainless steel appliances, ready to accommodate any size family's cooking needs. We provide trash bags, paper towels, and dishwasher tabs. We have a crock pot, coffee maker, blender, outside griddle, and much much more for all your cooking needs. The kitchen is open into the living room with comfortable seating for all guests. The couch is a Serta mattress couch that turns into a full-size queen bed with a head that elevates. Can be used for extra guests or just lounging around and watching movies. We have ceramic tile that looks like wood throughout the rental which gives it that real home feel. The house is equipped with 2 full-size bedrooms and 1 bathroom. The master bedroom features a queen-sized bed, with direct access to the hot tub just outside the deck door. We have towels for the hot tub and a Bluetooth speaker available for use with the hot tub. It also has a 55-inch TV with Direct TV hookup and Netflix available on a smart TV. The other bedroom features a full-sized bed with a trundle tucked away underneath. The Riverview Cabin has entertainment for all including a 55-inch TV with access to Direct TV and Netflix on a smart TV, card games board games, and a few books available. For those that are into hiking a trail leading down to the creek or a long gravel driveway down to the creek is available. Sit by the creek enjoy the sounds of nature and watch the small fish swim around. We have wild turkeys and deer that are around the cabin for your viewing pleasure. Let the kids take a splash into the creek and enjoy the clean mountain water. It has a long winding gravel driveway that leads up to the top of the mountain and overlooks beautiful scenery below. KITCHEN AMENITIES: Dishwasher and dish soap, Gas range and oven, Microwave, Refrigerator and freezer, Dishes and utensils, plenty of dishes, bowls, silverware and cooking materials Full coffee maker and coffee bar, Blender, Dining table has seating for 4 with additional seating options in the living room and deck area, Gas grill also available for cooking options. LIVING ROOM AMENITIES: Serta couch that turns into a queen size bed or lounger for watching TV in comfort, Rocking recliner, 55-inch flat screen with Direct TV and Netflix on a smart TV, Gas Fireplace that can be turned on with the touch of a button. We have remote-controlled candlelight also available as an option. ADDITIONAL AMENITIES: -Towels/Linen Provided, Iron, Hair Dryer, WiFi, Washer/Dryer, Outside deck area with Hot Tub, Grill, front porch glider, and two chairs and a small table to use while enjoying the view. ACTIVITIES: \-Kayak-Canoe-Tubing: About a 2-minute drive to the New River public boat access for a popular summer destination and activity. You can bring your own tubes or kayaks. We do have kayaks available for rent. \-Golf Course: There are plenty of options for golfing in the area! \-Fishing: Lots of locations available for freshwater fishing or if you prefer fly fishing is also a great choice. \-Hiking and horseback riding are a favorite for the area there are a few rental locations around. Enjoy your choice of hiking trails or visit the local Grayson Highland State Park for the breathtaking views on their hiking and riding trails and see the wild ponies that roam the park. Close to the New River Trail State Park. \-Restaurants: The area has a few local breweries and vineyards. We have several local restaurants to choose from just minutes away. \-Shopping: antiquing, movie theatres, historical museums, and a local farmers market that is open on Friday mornings, the grocery store is just 2 minutes away. \-Hospital is within 15 minutes of our location there are 2 different ones to choose from. \-Grocery store, library, ATM, banks, and churches located within a 2-minute drive of the cabin. \-Outdoor activities: Hunting, cycling, biking, rafting, sightseeing, bird and animal watching, scenic drives, playgrounds. If you are looking for a quiet vacation away with beautiful views or want to escape to a place full of adventure, this place is for you! \-Music: Enjoy old-time bluegrass music this is the location for you. We have lots of historic bluegrass musicians in the area. We are home to the largest bluegrass music festival in the world. It is located on a hill and there is a view of the New River from the covered front porch. When we had a question for the owner they were prompt in their response. Great location just off the main road but nothing that I would call busy. The home is tucked away up in the hills with a lovely view of the New River. This was just a great place to relax. I had everything I needed and more. The coffee bar, and welcome basket were the best. Comfortable master bed and pillows. Adorable Knick Knaks. Clean linens and cleaning supplies, to clean up after yourselves. The host was great we had to end up rescheduling two separate times because of unexpected things and she was so great. The house was spotless. Didn't get to use the hot tub because of weather but did look inside and it was spotless as well. Upon entering there was a welcome basket with home instructions, waters and snacks. Such a nice welcome! The home was stocked with everything you need to start your trip, right down to coffee (kcups) cream, sugar and breakfast bars! The kitchen was well stocked. The bathroom with everything needed (shampoo, conditioner, body wash and toiletries) was so nice and rarely seen in an VRBO rental! The hot tub was heavily with our morning coffee and the fireplace was cozy on the chilly nights. Driving over from Johnson City made this a perfect spot getaway after the hustle and bustle of the holidays. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful place of relaxation. The hosts are so nice and generous with their respective time. Whenever we had questions they were prompt and kind in guiding us through to the answers we needed. The hot tub is quite a nice touch to the scenery and the surrounding countryside. We can to see a show at the blue ridge music center, about 20-30 min away. The hosts were incredibly accommodating and were so quick to respond to any issues (missing wine opener) no matter what hour. Gorgeous views. Close to a grocery store. Really nice grill. And for those complaining about the driveway lol google how to drive up steep gravel drives and learn a thing or too lol. A couple of things just for future stayers to prep them for their stay. The grill on sight is a Blackstone griddle not a "grill" in my book but no complaint at all just keep that in mind when buying food to cook. We have Verizon and service was spotty throughout the area so make sure to set your mobile gps when at wifi at the place before you leave. ##### Kenni H. However, it's not really a cabin, as listed. When we rent mountain cabins, we are looking for peace and solitude. Unfortunately, this rental fell short in those regards. While this home has a beautiful view of the river, it is situated on a hill directly in front of a 4 lane highway, which is not mentioned in the listing. Sitting on the porch in the morning with a cup of coffee and enjoying the quietness of the mountains wasn't possible due to the noise from the traffic going by, not to mention a neighbor's dog barking loudly from inside the house/trailer. There is a trailer on the property which appears to be someone's home, which I feel also should have been disclosed in the listing as it does take away from the overall view. As stated, the house is beautiful and clean but had the above information been mentioned in the listing, I don't think I would have rented this property. ##### Ellen M. Our host gave us the wrong address...She gave us her personal address and that was miles up a winding 1 lane road to her home with 8 dogs running all over . Called her and she said to go to another address ...Her son guided us to another house and that was down in a gully with an unpaved road . I messaged her that was not acceptable . Keeping in mind we had driven all day in the rain and were worn out . She sent her husband out to find us and lead us to the correct home . Roger her husband was very helpful and very nice . He led us to the home . We were not aware that it was up a windy unpaved road with no guard rails. He offered to refund us and help us find a hotel in town . We were so tired we moved in . We stayed 4 nights out of the four we had paid for . We would not dare drive on that road in the dark so we could not attend the jams we went there for . We mostly just rested . The home is newish , very clean and well cared for . If you love mountain side homes and like driving up dangerous roads this one is for you . Sadly it was not to our liking ....... ##### Beverly W. The neighborhood is quiet and friendly not really much to do but we were there to relax so worked well. The property was very clean and well stocked with all the amenities you would expect. View from the deck was beautiful very comfortable place to stay. Currie, the host, was very nice and responded quickly to any questions or concerns we had.
