![New Zelands most active cone volcano and one of the few active marine volcano that you can tour! A once in a lifetime experience but a tip for those who get sea sick, take something before the boat trip out there! The boat slowed down about half way out and it got a buy rocky but we got to see many dolphins so it was very cool! "The room was lovely. We loved the little touches in the room and the breakfast room. Talking of which, the breakfast was really nice; beautiful bread, homemade muesli, local fresh fruit, lots of different local jams and honey. Linda and Mat were the most fabulous hosts; nothing was too much trouble: they ferried us around, arranged water taxis, packed lunches for our hikes, and so much more. A really lovely place to stay on a beautiful island in New Zealand :)"

"Was just after first flood. Wondered if we would be able to land or fly out but no problem in the end. Place was close to Claris and easy to find and exactly as expected. Drove to Tryphena and Fitzroy. Drinks at Irish pub was great. My fat puku great coffee and food. Museum n gallery v worthwhile. Bach was great. No problem with water obviously or power for that matter. All in all a great weekend. Thanks Mike"

"Enjoyable stay with comfortable bed, plenty of towels available and close to Ferry landing.Major issue for us was the extremely rough track which wasn't a pleasant experience each time we went out and came back. We would consider it more than a "bumpy driveway". Smart TV did not work after day 2 unless it was operator error. Otherwise everything was available that enables us to have an enjoyable stay."
