![I dove with Costa Rica Dive and Surf, which left from their office in Uvita. The dive equipment was in great shape and they had multiple dive masters with us. The Cano Island dive it a sandy bottom, easy, 60 foot dive, with light to medium currents. I didn't see a ton of great stuff, but this school of fish was worth it in itself. 

The trip includes two dives, an island trip, snacks, lunch, all your equipment rentals, etc. $175 per person for the day. "This lovely hotel, in the tiny, unpretentious village of Drake Bay, was wonderful. I am an amateur wildlife photographer. The manager gave me Room 1, with an enormous window that looks out onto a guarumo tree. In this tree arrived, in turn, a toucan, a pair of aracaris, tanagers, tityrus, caracaras, golden-naped woodpeckers, multiple iguanas, hummingbirds - it was simply incredible. I took the best pictures I've ever taken. The pool and the bar are nice, and everyone is friendly. Just one thing: you will be waking up early. The woodpeckers and howler monkeys will take care of that. "

"charming and comfortable accommodation a short walk from the beach and town restaurants and grocery/general store. very friendly and helpful staff. breakfast available very early to accommodate early tours. beautiful tropical setting full of birds and other wildlife. rustic but with all you need for a great stay. nicer than the pictures! steep walk to get to lodge and road to Drake Bay is very bumpy so a 4x4 is essential if you plan to drive there. "

"Hotel Villa Drake is a lovely small family run hotel at the top of the small town. The family are very friendly and happy to help, they cooked us a fresh breakfast every morning, even when we needed it at 5:20am. They arranged tours for us and the father is also a taxi driver so took us to the airport at the end of our trip for a reasonable price. It is very easy to walk to shops, restaurants and the beach and we saw wildlife from our window everyday. There were even cappuchins playing on the roof. We loved our stay in Drake Bay and it was made very easy by staying at Hotel Villa Drake. "
