"The owner locked the door of the rented space from the outside. They had no access into or out of the space. He extorted additional money while they were there. The owner shared a bathroom with the renters. The place was filthy, there was no clean drinking water. There was limited access to food and no place to store purchased food. The owner attempted to control their choices and became upset if they disagreed with him."

Before travelling I was advised to contact the care taker who would let us in, i called and called (as well as reception) and no one answered Leading to us having to check in to an alternative hotel for the night. "I have always enjoyed my stay at Theory9, however, this time there were extremely noisy guests living on the same floor who didn't sleep till 2am, cooked a full meal in the kitchenette, left the dishes unwashed and unusable for the other guests on the floor. The staff saw this but didn't say anything to them. There was one night where they came back to the room at 1:30am and wouldn't talk softly at all. That woke me up and I couldn't fall back asleep. Just a terrible experience overall."
