Very swanky but with reasonable rates. The property is in the heart of Shinjuku, so it’s very busy (day and night). If you’re looking for a quiet hotel in a quiet neighborhood, look elsewhere. The staff does an excellent job keeping outsiders from entering the property. The area has lots of eateries and convenience stores. There’s even a Sizzler and Krispy Kreme right outside the building! The rooms were clean and smelled fresh. They are smaller than your typical western hotel, so don’t bring a ton of luggage. You’ll be tripping over it during your entire stay. There’s a bidet with a heated seat (yay), and in a separate room, a gorgeously deep tub. The beds are clean but very firm, so if you have joint issues like myself, you’re going to wake up sore. The pillows are not soft. They seem to be filled with something grainy and heavy. The view was amazing! I was fortunate enough to be on the 25th floor. I was definitely stay again. The main reason why I picked this hotel is because how spacious the room is, and for that staying in Shiomi is absolutely worth it. It’s also absolutely convenient if you are planning to visit Disneylands, the approximate train ride is the best after a long day in Disney. The hotel also has onsen and sauna, which are tattoo friendly, and they are clean and large, 100% enjoyed it. There’s also a family mart onsite, love the convenience. Overall I enjoyed it and loved it, would 10/10 stay again.
