"We greatly enjoyed the house. The views were amazing and Dave was a very attentive and responsive host. We enjoyed getting to know him. There was a wonderful soaking tub in the lower bath as well as a lovely hot tub on the back deck which was great after a day of hiking. The property is only 10 minutes from the Cloudland Canyon Park which we loved hiking the wonderful trails. The only cons was that the house was not listed as a duplex. Though luckily we had the whole property mostly to ourselves for the stay. It would have been nice to have known. Also the house has a good many beautiful antiques but could use some of them to be removed as it was a bit too much and could use some updates. Overall enjoyed our stay and was a great value. "

"We had a really great stay at Cloudland at McLemore Resort. The property is beautiful and very well maintained, and the views were truly the highlight—absolutely breathtaking and so peaceful. The heated infinity pool was also a big win for us and made the experience even better. My only suggestion would be around the food. There aren’t a lot of options on the menus, overall we found the meals to be just okay. If we return (which we definitely would), we’d probably venture off property for more dining options. Overall, it was a wonderful stay and I’d absolutely visit again!"

"We stayed here for our honeymoon and it was the perfect escape from reality. From the moment we walked in, we could tell how much care goes into this cabin. Everything was spotless, welcoming, and so thoughtfully prepared for us.The views are incredible. We loved starting our mornings looking out the windows from the bed or sitting on the patio with coffee. Our afternoons were spent exploring and hiking nearby, and our evenings were shared under the stars relaxing in the hot tub. The copper tub even had us joking about doing a bathroom remodel at home!Our almost 11-year-old border collie, Tux, felt right at home too. We set his bed up in front of the fireplace and he happily kept watch over us and joined in on our little adventures.Thank you a million times over for such an amazing stay and memories that will last a lifetime. "There were dishes in the drawers that were not at all clean. The grill was not operable. Neither of these things would deter me, because the host was super and the place was very very nice. Location was outstanding. It’s the kind of place I could stay for an extended period."

"The cabin was perfect. Totally secluded and delivered everything that was promised. The outside enclosed porch overlooking the river transcended you. The roar was loud and calming at the se time. It was worth the drive amd cant wait to go back."

"Cabin was great! Just as its described on the listing and in pictures. Check in was a breeze and communication was good. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook dinner one night. The dining table is a little small but we ate at the bar instead. Would like to come back when its cold and use the wood-burning fireplace. If I had to say anything negative, I'd say bring your own bath soap. Not a huge deal but we did have to buy some while we were there. Love this spot and will stay there again!"
