« The room and the entire property was very well presented and fresh. The restaurant was also exceptional with top level table service and a great menu. Only negatives are that road facing room was a little noisy during the morning and evening rush hours and the security light in the room was quite intrusive. We thoroughly enjoyed our one night stop over. »

« Excellent food and service both for evening meal and breakfast. We had the private dining room, which for a larger party I really can recommend. Though we were not required to we pre-ordered which made the whole evening seamless. Probably just me but there were 6 different light switches in the room. Finding the right combination for bathroom, ceiling and bedside trial and error. »

« I was a walker arriving at the Nag's Head at 15.30. I was warmly received and shown to my very comfortable room. Although the restaurant was closed on a Tuesday evening, i was provided with a wonderful Chinese meal at a very modest cost. I requested a continental breakfast which was fine. Pick Hill is a lovely small village with a long history, some of which is displayed in the ancient church. »

« When we arrived about 5.45pm Sunday evening we could hear a lot of noise coming from the bar area . We went to our room and freshened up arriving back at the bar about 6.15pm. The bar was dominated by a group of "locals" who were worst for wear, shouting and swearing. My husband and I retreated to the terrace which was a bit cool. « The staff were excellent especially the young man who checked us in, served dinner and served at the bar. I didn’t sleep much at all the first night because of the very hard mattress but after I asked if we could have an extra duvet on the bed then the second night I slept much better. Breakfast was plentiful but the service was very slow. We had dinner here both evenings and it was ok but again the service was very slow. We would stay here again. »
