It is so dog friendly with the dog yard - my dog and I played out there a ton! We were able to cook our meals and just hang out on the deck and enjoy the views. It was very dog friendly, which is hard to find (separate, but connected fenced yard, fenced deck, dog friendly neighbors, etc.). The deck by the water has a cute gazebo, the game room was a hit with our teens, the sandy beach and kayaks were in great condition, the cove is not crazy busy even on a holiday weekend, and the place was clean and well stocked with standard kitchen/bathroom necessities. My only feedback would be a clearer list of what to bring vs. what they have, further in advance - plan to bring or rent sheets/towels, they have a regular coffee machine, no kettle, but there is a gas grill. They do have paper products to get started, but knowing it's a bit of a drive to a store, bring extras with you as well as things like foil/plastic wrap, spices etc. Thank you for having us!! ##### Sonia H. Plenty of kitchen supplies, very nice deck and great area for the pups. Plenty of cul decsacs to also walk your pets too. Rectangular small screened in porch area which was great for the day it rained All Day! We also used the kayaks which was nice to have. The game room needs a little updating as the foos ball table and ping pong table need some balancing but we had fun with the ping pong. The AC unit in the garage did not stay on But we weren’t in there a great deal of the time. It’s a great house if you have kids b/c the upstairs has 2bedrooms and PlayStation in the sitting area for the young adults. We really liked watching the deer-a group of 6/7 that hang around a lot. Love that you offered life jackets and things to enjoy the water with. Trees provide that much appreciated shade on a sunny day. Kitchen provides everything you could possibly need. And am so thankful it is very pet friendly from the closed in area for them to run, gate on the back deck to the screened in front porch. When we got there it wasn’t cleaned from the last people who stayed - dog hair and people hair all over, bathrooms dirty, bedrooms messy. Had to spend a good hour and a half cleaning and washing the bed spreads that were there. There’s a notice on the fridge that says notify the rental office and that no refunds are allowed and I’m sure they would’ve responded but we needed to get settled in and didn’t really have time to wait for someone to come and clean it. Exactly as described in overview. Best equipped kitchen we have had. Which covers about 5 years of stays at various properties. Perfect for our getaway. We enjoyed the game "room" , took walks, went fishing, enjoyed sitting in the gazebo at the dock, had a fire at the fire pit, played games and ate at the dining room table, put together yummy meals in the bright and sunny kitchen, took a ride to Moneta and visited some shops and hung out in the cozy living room to watch TV. Issue was fixed promptly at that point. Great location, perfect for dogs, could enter water on small sand beach or jump off the dock. Lots of fun there! Perfect for our pups too. Pups could stay gated with us on the deck when we hung out. Had morning coffee in the dock gazebo and watched the visiting deer. Teens loved game room. Pleasant neighbors too. And that's a rare thing. Whereas many rental properties pale to their photos and write-ups, this one shines brighter in real life. Me, my wife, and 2 young kiddos had a blast over a long weekend: fishing on the dock, hanging out on the lake "beach," taking the pedal boat for a cruise, roasting s'mores in the fire pit, and playing pool in the game room. I never write reviews, but this place brought us such happiness in a time when we needed it most that I felt compelled to. Have a blast and treat this property well. Cheers! ##### Mike W. Gorgeous views the minute you walk in, loved the fire pit and deck area. Super dog friendly side yard, they even had dog bowls. The kitchen had every type of cooking implement, utensils, etc you needed. They had lots of books and dvds, games. Our kids are Grown but would be wonderful for little ones! Deer through out the neighborhood. 15 minute drive to store, restaurants and even wineries. We really enjoyed our stay! Only complaint is there were a lot of spiderwebs that needed to be taken care of on the outside. ##### Alyson K. Sep 10, 2016 #### Amazing house, great location My sister and I decided to change up our normal international summer vacation to stay stateside and just relax this year. This house, SML and the community were just want we needed. The house was super clean, had everything we could ever need and was perfect for the two of us and our dog. The neighborhood is 5 mins from the State Park that offers trails, bike rides, a beach and boat rentals. It was the perfect location. The water was so clean and clear that many days we just jumped in off the dock and floated around. As did the neighbors who were so nice and friendly. Its about a 15 min drive to Moneta which offers lots of restaurants and grocery options. I can't wait to come back and have told all my friends about this hidden gem. The property was true to the description -- sunny, good for families, and dog friendly. The house was clean and the water near the dock was clear. However, when we arrived at the check-in time they couple (and their young daughter) was still working on the house. In the downstairs bedroom the ceiling fan stopped working and they were replacing it. The couple was very nice but we found it hard to relax while they were there. Finally after more then three hours my husband offered to help and the fan was installed within ten minutes. Additionally, it would have been nice if the outside patio and paddle boat was clean. We clean the paddle boat but it smelled horrible. Despite the few hiccups we would recommend this property to others. ##### Samantha M. Stayed 3 nights in May 2016 ### 6/10 Okay #### kimberly n. Oct 17, 2018 #### Nice place, just needs some maintenance We had a great weekend with friends but we did notice a few maintenance items that needed to be addressed at the property. There is a broken window in the kitchen (glass is cracked). The arm is off the storm door so it couldn't be propped open and slammed shut on us as we tried to carry luggage in and out. There is a ground hornet nest just outside the sitting area around the fire pit. When we opened the grill to use it we had to clean it first because it had been neglected so long there was mold growing in it. I appreciated the thought of a fenced dog run but with it being all gravel I couldn't leave my dog in there because there was nowhere for her to lay down, maybe consider decking a small space in there would be a huge improvement? Thankfully my girl has excellent house manners so even though we were sharing the house with other friends she was fine just hanging out in the house with us. On the positive side I loved that there was a gate on the porch so we could allow her to be out there with us. We all liked that it was a peaceful setting with beautiful views for a relaxing weekend away. We enjoyed walks around the quiet neighborhood and taking pictures of a family of whitetail deer who allowed us to watch them grazing each evening. ##### kimberly n.
