It is close to many stores and restaurants and by the lake, yet it is on a very quiet cul de sac. The layout is wonderful, you never feel crowded, with two living areas one downstairs and one upstairs to use. The interior is updated, very relaxing and extremely clean. The host was so friendly and even warned us when there was going to be bad weather coming in one night. We enjoyed kayaking down the canal to the lake more than once. It's tucked away in a small neighborhood right next to downtown Howell, nice and quiet on an inlet to the nearby lake, with everything you would want within 5-10 minutes (groceries, restaurants, pharmacy, etc.). The house is perfectly stocked in the kitchens, bedrooms and bathrooms which was nice, and the host was very gracious and responsive. The house itself was the perfect size for us but could've held a few more people easily. It had great light, good internet, and a fun little upstairs nook to play games and work.
