Plan your next getaway at our cozy 2 bedroom, 1 bath sunset cottage just footsteps from the shores of the South Twin Lake. Nestled deep in the quiet country setting of Howe, Indiana, it’s the perfect place to come if you’re looking to disconnect from the daily grind or spend some time with friends and family swimming, fishing or just relaxing. Kickback in our sunroom with amazing waterfront views from every angle or lounge and unwind while watching the large flat screen TV in the living room. Internet is provided. The house is comfortably furnished and comes with an window a/c unit in the main living area and ceiling fans throughout the home to keep you cool in the warm months. With queen beds in each room and a sleeper sofa, the space sleeps up to 6 people. The kitchen comes fully loaded with basic kitchenware, dishes & silverware, a standard refrigerator & stove, as well as a microwave and coffee maker. Dine indoors at the kitchen table or al fresco on the porch. Enjoy brunch or grill up dinner overlooking the beautiful lake. The property also comes with 2 paddle boards included in the rental fee so you can cruise along the lake, or just relax on the shore and take in the incredible technicolored sunsets. The Twin Lakes in Howe Indiana are considered to be some of the cleanest lakes in the entire state. This is a spring-fed, non-sport, private lake with no speed boats or jet-skis. While our lakeside cottage is remote, it’s only about 10 minutes from the 80-90 toll road. Shopping is conveniently located 15 minutes north in Sturgis, Michigan where you'll find a Walmart, Meijer, Walgreens, CVS, Dollar General and many restaurants. Interested in exploring the area a bit? We are only 15 minutes away from Shipshewana Indiana, where you can get to know some of our Amish neighbors. Check out the Shipshewana flea market, enjoy some authentic homestyle Amish cooking, an afternoon carriage ride, or a show at the Blue Gate Theatre. We are also only an hour from Kalamazoo Michigan, Fort Wayne, Indiana and South Bend, Indiana. Check out our fighting Irish at Notre Dame. There are few places to use a walker. The sliding door to the porch was extremely heavy to operate as well as the heavy metal security bar. The gravel driveway made it hard to load and unload our vehicle. I also overlooked the fact that there was no dishwasher when I booked it. This was our family's second time at Sunset Cottage. The lake is a "no wake" lake, in a quiet neighborhood, so it was very peaceful. Kayaks and paddle boards were made available, and we used them every day. Swimming was wonderful--the lake is very clear! There are an abundance of turtles on South Twin lake.Check in was a breeze. There is a Meijer and Wal Mart in Sturgis, MI, which is a short drive away, for when you need groceries/supplies. Sturgis also has a used book store (Lowry's), and LaGrange, IN, has Foltz Bakery for when you need doughnuts. The owner is very responsive. The cottage was clean when we checked in--I think she puts a lot of effort into running Sunset Cottage. 6 of us (2 adults, 2 teens, and 2 under 12) stayed comfortably in the cabin. I would not hesitate to book this cottage again. I highly recommend this property! ##### Matthew M. House was clean, pretty, well-equipped, just feet from the lake. Beds were comfortable but one was really high off the floor. Porches were pleasant. I would recommend this place. The bedrooms have newer floors. Good water pressure in shower. Most likely best used as a summer rental where what you want is a beautiful view of the lake. ##### The D.
