Thoughtfully designed and furnished for families in mind, this Kemah gem guarantees an enjoyable time for everyone in your crew. With a large pool, outdoor fire pit, charcoal grill, ample outdoor seating, and three cozy bedrooms, It\`s the ideal haven for relaxing get-togethers, poolside fun, or embarking on Kemah Boardwalk adventures. ● WINTER TEXAN RATE: Escape to the Texas Gulf Coast this winter! Ask about our reduced monthly rates October 1 - March 1. ● Location: Kemah, Texas - 0.3 miles to the Kemah Boardwalk! ● Private Pool: This home features a large, in-ground private pool ranging from 5-8ft deep. ● WIFI/Cable: We provide free high-speed WIFI and Roku with access to Sling TV for live television channels. Guests are welcome to log into their own streaming service apps. ● Pet Policy: 2 pets are allowed with a $25 fee per pet. Please keep pets off furniture, clean up after them outside, and crate them if left alone indoors. ● Parking: There is parking for 2 cars in the driveway, plus 2 more cars along street inside white lane marker. Welcome to your poolside retreat! Walking into the home, the first bedroom is on your left behind pocket doors with a queen size bed and full over full bunk bed. Directly ahead is the fully stocked kitchen with lovely coastal green cabinets and fresh white tiled backsplash. There’s an extended countertop with stool seating, washer/dryer and plenty of pantry storage for your vacation grocery haul. The master suite is off the kitchen and features a comfy king size bed, glass french doors leading out to the patio and pool, and a full bathroom with a standing shower. The third bedroom is off the living room with vibrant pink walls and two queen beds. The second full bathroom is next door with a beautiful tiled shower and built-in shelves. The glass french doors off the living room open up to the patio and pool area, with twinkling string lights and an outdoor table and lounge seating. Beyond the pool is an outdoor fire pit and large grassy area for lawn games and space for your pups to run free. When you’re ready to go exploring, restaurants, shops and fun at the Kemah Boardwalk are a short walk away! ● Cancellation Policy: All cancellations are subject to a 3% credit card processing fee. ● Party Policy: No parties are allowed at our home. Please look elsewhere if that is the intent of your trip. ● Age Requirement: Guests must be 24+ to book. We are unable to price match any rates found on other booking platforms. House Rules: \- Guests must be 24+ to book the property. \- One-night stays must be approved. \- Groups larger than 8 need to be approved. We do not allow parties. \- Quiet hours are from 10pm-8am. \- Any damages to the house or property during your stay will result in a deduction or additional charge for the resulting repair/replacement cost. \- All pets must be approved by our team, stay off of all furniture, be cleaned up after in the yard, and not left alone inside the home unless in a kennel. \- No parking allowed on lawns, yards, empty grass lots or other neighbors’ driveways, even if their home appears unoccupied. \- Oversized vehicles/trailers are not permitted unless explicit approval has been received from our team. \- Do not turn the AC below 70 degrees. If you do, you will risk the AC unit freezing up, requiring it to thaw out which will result in the home getting extremely warm. \- The homeowner\`s routine pool maintenance cannot be rescheduled and is required for the health and safety of our guests. This property was perfect for what we needed. We had two adults, two mini adults (18 year olds, fresh out of high school) and a 15 year old in our group and the house had everything we all needed to enjoy ourselves. The walking distance to the boardwalk is a HUGE plus. No need to use the car again once we got there. I knew when booking, that the weather may not be considered "pool weather" but that didn't stop the teens from fully using it once we arrived. There was one small hiccup (no hot water in the smaller bathroom), I contacted management to advise them, and they were quick to respond and offer to send maintenance. Jul 2, 2024 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, location, listing accuracy Disliked: Communication #### Family Vacation 2024 The pool was amazing - really that was the saving grace for the trip. The washer did not work when we arrived. I let the owner know and he sent a maitance person out to look at it. We were informed a part had to be order. When I asked when the part would be in so the washer could be fixed, I received no further communication from the owner. I spent over half a day going to the laundry mat to wash clothes, beach towels, and bath towels on two different occassions for our family of 8, The frig/freezer leaked water every night. The small "beer" frig stayed too cold and froze any drinks in there even after adjusting the temperature. The master bathroom's shower onlly provided luke warm water after waiting a long while. The master bathroom had a strange smell to it. The gas stove knobs were extremely difficult to turn to get the burners working. Two consecetive days we were unable to eat outside (only table at the house) or use the pool because the trash smell was so overwhelming. A large box was delivered 2 days before our trip ended, when I asked the owner what to do with it I received no message. ##### Meribeth B. A nice place. Easy walk to Kemah attractions. Bed in master bedroom is very comfortable. But the experience was the worst we’ve ever had for a rental. We chose this place specifically for the pool and paid extra compared to other places. Upon arrival, the pool was a pea soup color and covered in algae. Management sent a pool person out to shock the pool with chemicals and said It was swimmable after two hours. Its well known you have to wait 24 hours after shocking until it’s safe. The next day algae still covered all the surfaces and they sent the pool guy to vacuum and shock the pool again. He did a poor job and many surfaces were still covered in algae. I sent them photos and videos. It was not truly swimmable until after the third night. I asked for a refund for half the cost of the rental for every day it was not swimmable. They offered only 1\. We spent a ton of time trying to work it out with him and with Vrbo, which all seemed like a complete waste. Very bad experience. There were other smaller issues that spoiled the mood further, like roaches and insect traps scattered all over the place. If you bring a dog or small child, I would keep an eye out for those. Ironically, there was a review on the other major home rental website, complaining of the same issues, and claiming they got a skin rash from swimming in it. Although the house can sleep 12, there is only enough room for 5 people to eat. Freezer section of the refrigerator does not keep anything frozen.
