Centrally located in the heart of the north-fork valley surrounded by mountains and valleys, rivers and plains - the historic landmark house is a perfect hub to a wide variety of activities within easy reach year round. Enter the foot path and notice the 100+ year old embossed “Barlow” in the path leading through the front yard to the spacious front porch with lots of seating to watch the small town of Hotchkiss as it flows by. We traveled from Rome, Georgia to Hotchkiss for my daughter's wedding at a local venue. The house had everything we needed and was conveniently located to the venue. Also, it was only a short walk to a couple of restaurants, groceries and a great little coffee shop. Sabrina was very gracious and responsive to any questions I had. It is an older home, as indicated in the VRBO description, but is very well maintained and comfortable. All bedrooms are on the second floor, so if you have trouble with stairs, this place would be a challenge. It is located right in the small downtown area, so there was a little noisy traffic at night. We slept with a white noise App and had no problems.
