Just steps from the shores of Lake Catherine, you can sip coffee on the back deck or dangle your toes in the water on your own private pier. Spend lazy days on the lake or explore hidden coves on the kayak. This one bedroom 1.5 bath cottage is the perfect combination of coziness and charm. Soak in the beauty of Hot Springs while creating memories that last long after the sun sets over the lake. Your escape awaits. Book Now. Cape Catherine is a private peninsula with 3 houses, 3 different docks and plenty of outdoor fun. Cape Catherine is a private peninsula on Lake Catherine. The peninsula is home to 3 houses; The Big House, The Garage-Mahal and The Cottage. You will be sharing the peninsula with guests in the other two houses. However, you will be the only one to have access to The Garage-mahal. The Garage-Mahal is not shared with anyone. I am just a phone call or text away if you have any questions. We have a handyman on call if you need something we can not resolve over the phone or text. Cape Catherine is a private peninsula with 3 houses, 3 different docks and plenty of outdoor fun. THIS IS NOT A PARTY HOUSE! You must be 25 years of age or older to rent this house. The lake, docks, paddle boards, and kayaks are for your use. Use them and swim at your own risk. We are not responsible for any injuries that may occur while using these items. This house is on Lake Catherine. Entergy drains Lake Catherine every year for shoreline maintenance and general Lake Health. That means that FROM MID-NOVEMBER TO MID-MARCH THERE IS NO WATER UNDER THE DOCKS OR AROUND THE PENINSULA. Important: Before you arrive you will be asked to complete guest verification through third-party provider Superhog. This is done to ensure we are keeping up-to-date with short-term rental regulations as well as providing both our guests and our properties with extra protection. Superhog will contact you via email and/or text to complete the verification. Please do so prior to arriving at the property to enable a quick and easy check-in process. You will also be given the choice between a security deposit or a non-refundable damage waiver. The primary renter must be at least 25 years of age. The person renting the unit must be the person staying in the unit. A guest list with names and ages and number of vehicles must be provided. We fished, used their kayaks and paddle board, sat on the patios, and relaxed in this peaceful setting. It was our home base as we went to Hot Springs, Lake Catherine State Park, and the Garvin Woodland Gardens. Laura quickly and helpfully answered all our questions. The place was super charming and peaceful, and had everything we needed for the weekend. Being on a peninsula surrounded by water was amazing—we had water views from every window. Looking for peace and quiet, this is your place. You can walk out of any door to a dock. We like to fish but if you want to canoe, swim, kayak that’s also available. There’s wildlife everywhere, geese, squirrels, all types of turtles, deer, etc. Good Wi-Fi too. A lot of sitting areas inside and outside on all three porches. We didn’t leave much only to go to the Dollar General store up the road a bit. Hot Springs city life isn’t far at all. Want to hike? The mountains are close by but you’ll need to drive there. We would have liked to have more than 2 wine glasses but that is a really small point. We took the dog on some of the trails at Lake De Gray Resort and Lake Catherine State Park. I realized the nearest grocery store was not close so we brought all of our food and beverages. We didn't realize that Lake Catherine's water levels are lowered from November to March but it isn't like we were going to go swimming. If we wanted a quiet spot in hot weather, I would consider coming here again. Property Manager was very responsive when we had an issue with the TV. Love the layout of the cottage. Not too small and not too large, wonderful kitchen, Weber Grill on back patio was great for grilling shrimp with a view of the water.
