We spent our days outside, watching the seals and fisherman, harvesting and grilling oysters, and kayaking. The proximity to town was a big bonus. We spent most of the time outside by the water on the deck and by the fire pit. Kayaks and life jackets were available, and kayaking was pleasant on the clear water in between tidal currents. The house was clean and comfortable with plenty of amenities. Our 4 kids slept comfortably upstairs with extra mattresses and floor space available. They also enjoyed the game options provided. The kitchen had everything we needed including pour over equipment for coffee (if you don’t want keurig). Location was very peaceful and quiet. Hoodsport is small, but there is a nice grocery store right near the house along with a few other options. You can also drive about an hour to Bremerton to take the ferry to Seattle. It was a nice spot to relax after 3 days exploring Olympic National Park.The hosts were also very responsive and proactively helpful.
