Located on a serene lake, guests can enjoy kayaking, fishing, and relaxing by the fire pit. The cozy interior features a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable bedrooms with a king bed, a game room, and an outdoor deck nestled in the trees. Just a short drive to the local attractions, this is the ideal getaway for outdoor enthusiasts or families looking for a fun escape. Experience the delightful features of this remarkable space! This expansive residence boasts over 2000 square feet of living area, nestled in the trees by sought-after Division 1 of Lake Cushman. Centrally positioned, it’s just a leisurely 5-minute stroll to the park and a quick 2-minute drive to the boat launch, with the stunning Viewpoint Lookout a mere half-mile away. Enjoy the cabin life for nature lovers while experiencing lake living a few minutes away. You will have access to a parking pass to be able to visit all of Lake Cushman's parks. This home is ideally situated near the entrance to Olympic National Park Staircase and Skokomish State Park, with Hoodsport and the Hood Canal just a quick 10-minute drive down the hill. You can book a tee time at the Lake Cushman Golf Course that is a 5-minute drive away. SLEEPING: Paddlers Paradise can accommodate up to 8 guests with 6 beds. This modern retreat features 3 bedrooms: 1 king, 1 queen, and 1 queen with twin bunk beds, along with a pull-out queen bed in the second living area. Additionally, it has 3 bathrooms equipped with all the essentials. Two of the three bedrooms feature private bathrooms. With soaring vaulted ceilings and striking 4x10 exposed beams, the home is flooded with natural light from its expansive windows. The main living area is located upstairs, while a spacious bonus room awaits downstairs. Completely renovated in 2020, this home is equipped with air conditioning to keep you cool during those warm summer days, featuring mini-splits in the common areas—one in the living room and another in the downstairs family room. Stay connected with high-speed T-1 Internet, perfect for remote work or staying in touch during your visit. KITCHEN: The kitchen is a chef's dream, showcasing white maple shaker cabinets, sleek black granite countertops, and a full suite of stainless-steel appliances. Enjoy the convenience of a 36" farmhouse sink, and purified water. You'll find a Keurig with K-cups provided, a traditional coffee maker, a blender, a toaster, a large roaster oven, a crock pot, a three-section food warmer, mixing bowls, a selection of spices, and a BBQ grill on the patio, making this one of the most well-equipped kitchens you’ll encounter in an VRBO. OUTDOORS: We have five kayaks and one paddleboard ready for your enjoyment (May-October). They’re conveniently set up on-site for you to use at your leisure during the summer. Two travel carts are available to help you transport them down to the lake. By using these items, guests acknowledge their responsibility for any injuries or accidents that may occur. Additionally, we offer a variety of balls for play, and you can also take them to the basketball court at the park. Life jackets in all sizes, from toddler to large adult, are provided for your safety. A boat launch is just a minute's drive away or a five-minute walk from the house. Nearby, you’ll find a golf course, a playground by the lake, and a spacious outdoor barbecue area. The house features a barbecue on the back patio, a large fire pit, outdoor seating, and a wireless karaoke machine that connects to your phone via Bluetooth. Enjoy the backyard ambiance with outdoor lighting, and relax indoors with a 65" TV in the living room, another 45" TV in the master bedroom, and a 50" TV in the second bedroom. FAMILY-FRIENDLY: Family fun awaits! Engage in board games, puzzles, pool, foosball, arcade, darts, corn hole, karaoke, and gather around the fire pit in the backyard. There are water toys, sand games, and a kid's wagon to haul the kids or stuff down to the park/lake. We are family-friendly, offering baby gates, baby bathtub, a pack-and-play, and a high chair stored in the closet if needed. The kitchen is stocked with a drawer full of kid-friendly dining essentials. Please note that this house does not have a bathtub, but a blow-up option can be set up in the shower if necessary. PETS: A non-refundable fee of $150 will be added to your booking. We welcome your furry family members, but please refrain from allowing them on the furniture (a clean sheet or blanket can be provided for them to rest on). We kindly ask that you: \- Clean up after your dog. \- Do not leave pets unattended, either inside or outside. \- Keep barking to a minimum to respect our neighbors. \- Check trail guides, as not all hikes are pet-friendly. \*\*PLEASE be aware: \-The lake is at its highest from Memorial Day to Labor Day and then the water is let out. Additionally, please note that a vehicle is necessary for transportation to and from this property, as well as to most local attractions. Our annual mushroom hunting trip to the area. You can tell the host took time to decorate the place, lots of big and small details that remind you of home. Beds were pretty comfortable. Decent size kitchen, lots of entertainment inside if the weather happens to be not great… but we spent most of our time outside. Looks like recently renovated house. Walking to the lake was super easy (although we hike a lot, so cannot speak for everyone), but it’s really a very minor slope walk about 5 mins from the house. And the lake was all ours for many hours, we literally did not meet a single person on our trip to the lake on a Saturday morning! Had an excellent time with our dog swimming in Lake Cushman! Warm water even though it’s the end of September. Recommend the place! Grilling on the deck was great and we loved the lake and the clean beachfront and community lake access. Our kids loved jumping off the floating dock and kayaking. Since it’s a 5 min walk from the house I was grateful for the bathrooms by the shoreline. My family (two adults, 5yr, 3yr, 2yr, and 4 mo) and our friends (two adults, 2yr, 1yr) stayed for 4nights. The property was perfect with multiple baby gates, lots of toys for a lot of ages, and some baby gear (playpen and such). Although there isn’t much yard space, it was still perfect for the kids. The walk down to the lake was only about 7-10 minutes… or you could just drive for maybe 2 minutes. The only thing I’d have to say be prepared for is the mattresses.. oh man! The kids didn’t complain about their beds but oh man all the adults were stiff after 4 nights. But honestly it was an amazing house to stay at. ##### Claudia S. The house was extremely comfortable for multiple adults and pups, had many amenities, and was situated in a quiet, wooded neighborhood. Being so close to the Olympic National Forest meant access to plenty of diverse hiking trails while still being close enough to Hoodsport to make grocery shopping and an evening eating out quick! Our hosts were also very communicative giving us plenty of heads up on what to expect when we stayed on the property and clear instructions for checking in and out. Plenty of space for a family to spread out, or get comfortable together. Easy check-in and great communication. Nice that we had access to TV, Netflix etc. Perhaps because we went off-season but a few things fell a bit short for me. First there was no propane for the grill and the grill looked like it hadn't been used for a while (needs cleaning). The host did offer to reimburse us if we went to get the tank refilled. The outdoor firepit was awesome, but had a dozen or so cigarette butts in it - not very appetizing to toast s'mores. Check-out was more stressful for me than usual because we learned after booking that the expectation is that you not only start the towel load wash, but you need to wait until it completes and start the dryer. I have no problem starting a load of wash, but having to wait for it to complete (and not knowing how long that would be) was no fun. Again the home is beautiful but for what we paid I was a bit disappointed with these shortfalls. Good news is should be easy to fix. ##### MARK J. Location is awesome - we took a short walk to the lake, which was beautiful. House is situated so it feels like you're well in the forest but Hoodsport is just a short drive away. Very quiet here! Danielle was super easy to communicate with and responded very promptly, and she was exceptionally gracious when we had car trouble trying to leave. Could not ask for a better host! We had small children in our group so we bought an adjustable baby gate for the top of the stairs which we left there in case you are in the same situation. Lovely, quiet neighborhood. Small store close by, but went to Shelton for most of our groceries--about a 25 minute drive. Lake Cushman just gorgeous! ##### Mark S. The home was very lovely with every amenity you could want. The beach and swimming area is an easy walk away. As a permit is needed for that area, that part of the lake wasn’t too crowded, even during an August weekend.
