We appreciated the parking that came with the unit. The unit itself was spacious and easily fit the 6 of us, though be warned that the main living room does not have windows, and the bedroom only has a small window. This is not an issue if you are planning to spend most of your time outdoors, as we did. You do need to drive 10-15 mins or so to get to Waikiki, but this isn't a big issue if you will be going around the island for most of your time in O'ahu. The building is also within walking distance to Chinatown, which is great for grabbing a bite in the evening. Overall, a wonderful stay! ##### Lawrence N. We stayed for 10 days in June. Check in process was super easy, I was a little concerned because we were checking in a 12:30 in the morning, but I didn't need to be. We had a little issue when we first got to the property but was quickly resolved first thing. There was plenty of room for the 6 of us. There are lots of beach toys, snorkel equipment, beach towels and beach blankets as well as a cooler for the beach. A stroller is also there if you have a small child. The property was clean and the building was clean. A great bonus is the free parking spot in the garage. Pool and hot tub were great. Communication was great. The only suggestions would be a spatula in the kitchen. The location is downtown Honolulu so you will need to walk to the beach - 45 min to an hour. Bus picks up right around the corner if you take the bus anywhere (which we did) and is super easy. There is no 'nightlife' in this area so if you are looking for that - this would not be the place for you. We would for sure stay again. ##### Daisy L. The condo itself worked out well for all 8 of us who were traveling together. The space is large enough not to feel like we were crawling all over each other with the only challenge being carving out time to each use the single bathroom/shower. Having a really nice/brand new washer/dryer in the unit was brilliant and made hopping into the ocean every day so much easier to manage (no nasty smelly swimsuits!). The full kitchen also allowed us to vastly save on meals and we cooked a ton on the stove (and rice cooker). Being on the 11th floor also meant it was quiet despite being downtown and on the street-level there was a terrific Asian Market and a 7/11 where weā€™d grab fresh musubi and manapua treats daily! Parking in Honolulu, especially close to Waikiki, is a huge pain and so it was super nice having a designated parking spot located on the premises that was included with the rental! Definitely keep note that this is located downtown and so you do get a mix of ā€œcolorfulā€ people when youā€™re at street-level, but we didnā€™t have any incidentsā€¦although we certainly observed some interesting folks. ;) ##### Peter S. We had a great time in Honolulu and loved having this condo as a home base! Honest pros and cons:Pros:1\. The location is pretty central to a lot of the western part of the island. We rented a car which made it easy to get around.2\. The building is secure at night and we never heard neighbors or had any loud night time interruptions.3\. The apartment was very clean and although others have mentioned roaches we never saw one inside or outside of the apartment.Our family of five slept comfortably on the four total beds. 4\. Communication with the owner was super easy and when we had questions or any issues popped up (nothing major) they were not only responsive but went above and beyond to make our stay awesome! 5\. Check in and out was a breeze compared to other stays we have had. Cons: (none of these would be deal breakers for us staying again) 1\. The apartment and building are old and as such have some wear and tear character. Itā€™s nothing we couldnā€™t overlook but it is something to consider if you donā€™t like seeing old cracks or old curtains in the window. 2\. The curtains in the one window in the bedroom are more like a small partial shade. We were always up early but if you wanted to sleep in it would make it difficult as you canā€™t block out much of the sun with them. 3\. Parking is on the 7th floor of the garage which can be busy at times. The communication with Hanh was exceptional. She answered any questions I had very quickly. It was nice to have garage parking included but do note that it is on the 7th floor. Lots of things included in the rental including beach items like towels, totes, snorkel. Location of the property was very convenient to places like Waikki Beach. We could even walk to Chinatown. We enjoyed our time and the convenience this place provides to all of Honolulu. The building is old and in the middle of downtown. Honolulu has a homeless population as do most large downtowns. The area felt safe, even at night. The building has a pest issue. The unit management has put a large amount of pest traps outside the door and all around the unit.
