There is no stove or oven, but there is an electric stovetop, microwave, and mini fridge. Within walking distance to plenty of food, convenience stores, and beaches!! The room was as described, our only real fault was the aircon needs upgrading - we purchased a fan from Walmart to get us through steamy nights, block out curtaining would add huge value in the mornings to block out the heat and sun.. cleanliness around the hotel could use some upgrading. We had no complaints at all. The views were great. The location next to beach was perfect. Parking is a premium as it is all over Hawaii. But there is free parking along the beach. You just have to be patient. Great coffee is available next door in the hotel beside Dennys. It was the perfect starting point for all our day trips. Whether it was koko crater climb or snorkeling at sharks cove. We had a great time. Thank you! One minor thing. Maybe some heavy black out shades. We were up with the roosters anyway, but others might want to sleep in. And for those who have complained about the music. It didn’t bother us at all. Plus, you could take your happy hour cocktail and food up to the 10 th floor and enjoy the totally amazing views on the roof top patio anytime, particularly at sunset on lovely patio furniture set up for guests. Everyone at the hotel is very friendly and helpful, as were Rob, Dave and Mark, the owners and hosts. Super fast responses to any issues at all like, is there any free parking in the area etc. We had an suv for two weeks and parked a block away on Monsarrat for free throughout our entire two week stay. There's no bugs, tons of beach towels, lots of hot water for showers, beach chairs, beach glassware, French press, toaster oven, microwave, cooking utensils, fridge, two great ice makers, etc. Good Wi-fi and HD satellite tv. The AC worked perfectly. There's an amazing burger place right in the hotel and you can phone your order in. There's even a quiet pool, a clean laundry room, drink machines etc. We had two queen beds, lots of room and can't think of many cons whatsoever. Considerations for some people are that the unit is two floors above an open balcony bar (with 2$ tacos on Tuesday) so the live music and street noise is significant and noticeable in the evenings. That being said, my daughter and I didn't have trouble getting to sleep with AC on at 9 pm and there must be some agreement to turn off music by a certain time, say midnight? The buildling is older so the plumbing issues cause the tub not to drain quickly while you're showering. As well, you can't use the toaster oven and microwave simultaneously or you overload the breaker. Front desk is fast at resetting if you call them. There are a lot of choices in the Grand Hotel, some more upscale than others. But, if you are fine with clean, cheerful, cottagy or dorm like accommodations I would choose this unit everytime because of the balconies, views, space, two beds, etc. And the hotel is very secure, well maintained and homey. Everyone is very neighborly. Beats staying at the noisy crowded, push and shove Hilton or Sheraton where there are no palm trees and parks on their beach to speak of, as well as exponentially more people. ##### Lori L. Sep 16, 2024 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### 部屋はひろくて使いやすい 今までワイキキグランドホテルのコンドミニアムに何回か泊まりました。前回、と今回は同じオーナーさんでしたが何かあったトラブル時の対応はホテル以上でとても素晴らしい。景色もホテル前に障害物が一切なくホノルルzooや自然の景色ごしにダイヤモンドヘッドの全体が見え最高です。日が昇るところから夕日になるまでのダイヤモンドヘッドの素晴らしい景色が堪能できます。海もホテルから２分程度で行け、ラナイからはフロントオーシャンビューではないものの少しのぞけば海の状態を見る事が出来ます。部屋は広く問題なし。ただ調理道具が少し不足しているのが気になりました。包丁の切れ味ももっと良ければ最高です。また日本人なので炊飯器があれば最高です。トースターはありました。私たちが泊まった部屋にはビーチでの椅子が３つありました。スノーケリングの道具もありお子さんと来ても問題なし。 次回もこの部屋が空いてれば宿泊させてもらいます。 ##### SAKU K. This unit had the bonus of being slightly larger than most, which made it perfect for my spouse and I. Everything was as described - including warnings to not use high-power appliances at the same time, which was easy to manage. We had everything we needed to cook small meals and a great patio set to eat and enjoy the views. Bed was fine, more on the soft side. Having stayed in this building previously, we knew to expect noise from Hula's though I will say it was more pronounced than other units as it was directly above. Not an issue for us and the air conditioner masks a lot of it, but know the weekends are pretty lively if you are sensitive to sound. Unit came with boogie board and 2 snorkel sets but no beach chairs or umbrella, if that matters to you. Overall, a solid value for a view and steps to the beach. ##### Kelly R. The beaches, shopping, restaurants and zoo are right there. (My favorite routine is heading around the corner for a Kai Coffee then watching the sunrise from the pier. Bliss.) The view from the room of Diamond Head and the beach were a real treat. Two lanais! That is exceptional. Truly exceptional. The room is large, the bed is comfortable. I was pretty impressed with the room. It gets a bit loud at night as the condo is situated above a popular bar. If you close the windows and run the a/c, that will help. ##### Kim C. Easy access up Kapahulu to the freeway for activities and just a short 1 block walk to the beach. We've stayed at the Grand each of our 17 visits over the past 27 years and find it very convenient. The only negative thing is that it was built in the sixties and the rooms are small by today's standards, but you don't come to Hawaii to sit in your room! ##### Scott G. Perfect area.... not the quietest on the front but the views are amazing. Get as high up as possible as the music from the bar will infiltrate the room until 2am.
