If you’re looking for an oceanfront condo that is modern, clean, and in a great location, then this is your place! The condo itself is spacious and well-equipped with all of your needs. It was sparkling clean when we arrived and it made us feel completely right at home. My family and I appreciated the air conditioner during the warm days/nights and also the washer/dryer which helped us pack light. Sunrises and sunsets from your private balcony or from the property's lawn are simply amazing. Papakea Resort's grounds are beautiful and well maintained. There's also many activities to choose from -- swimming in one of the two lovely pools, shuffleboard, tennis/pickle ball, and even putting greens. Little did we know he’d pick Maui! My husband, two teenage boys (15 & 17) and I stayed at this condo for 7 nights. We arrived in the dark, so it was so fun waking up to the awesome view from the lanai. Everything was very clean upon arrival, and the check-in process was smooth, both with Maui Paradise Properties and Papakea Resort. We anticipated the kitchen being fully stocked, so we made a plan to order groceries from Walmart for pickup right after our flight. If fancy dining is your thing, there were plenty of options nearby, but there’s also a food truck court a block away. And several little grocery stores are within a 2-3 block walk. If saving money on food by preparing it yourself is more your thing, check out those nearby grocery stores/markets/gas stations. The prices aren’t as outrageous as social media makes it seem, and the kitchen has everything you’d need. The view could not have been any better. There were so many whales passing by and several sea turtles too, and the sunsets were front and center, right from your lanai. The king bed was great and the boys slept great on the newer queen sofa bed. The unit had beach towels, chairs, a cooler and even an umbrella. The grounds were beautifully cared for too. We wanted a place right on the water and this property did not disappoint! We would definitely come back. We are big walkers so it was nice to be close to the beach walk and all that is offered along it. The grocery store across the street was convenient as well. The resort was so nice - with shuffleboard, two swimming pools and hot tubs, and so convenient to Lahaina! The condo is nicely appointed with everything you need - and so much storage! The extras, beach chairs, towels, etc. were extremely appreciated! We so enjoyed the 2nd floor lanai - we were so close to the water and the ocean sounded so nice, we were able to see whales, and just relax. It was a wonderful stay! ##### Karen D. The kitchen is as well stocked as you will find, tons of high quality pots and pans, great knives, and tons of dishes. There is a Times supermarket one block away with everything you’ll need. I loved the property! Perfect place to get away, not very touristy but only 5 min away from touristy places, venues, and activities. The place itself was very clean, modern, had all the amenities (AC was awesome) you would need, and best of all ocean the ocean was 15 ft away with all the wonderful sounds and beautiful sights that come along with it. This property was the perfect getaway for us! We felt at home, made many delicious meals, and enjoyed the sunsets every night on the patio. Great place to stay for a couple! The only disadvantage would be the AC unit. It didn’t keep the condo entirely cool since it was just a wall unit. Soon we found the Ice cream place and Pizza Hut in Lahaina (take-out) to match our eating habits from home. Plenty of soaps and paper goods were provided - I hate to have to run get those things immediately after we arrive. The Times store nearby is almost like a small Walmart so we didn't have to drive far for most things. Newly remodeled and plenty of storage. Master bedroom linens, bed covers, and pillows were great.
