Lush Garden View Condo - Steps from the Beach Located on the north end of the world acclaimed Kaanapali Beach, Paki Maui is its own island of tranquility. Paki Maui is a four-story, three building, 108 apartment structure located directly on the ocean with a sand beach and a double-reef so you can swim and snorkel in safety and comfort. This complex also offers a large grassy lawn area that fronts the beach where you can sit comfortably under the palm trees and gaze out on the islands of Molokai and Lanai and where you can enjoy your morning coffee or a game of Frisbee. Whale shows are frequent from mid-November through March and every sunset is spectacular! The Koi pond, lush gardens, and ocean surf all lend to creating a peaceful environment away from the hustle and bustle of the big hotels. Our unit, number 114, is a one-bedroom one-bath ground level garden apartment that reflects that sense of peace and harmony. Situated in the midst of the lush tropical garden. The trade winds continually blow and keep this shaded unit cool and comfortable-no need for air conditioning. The shower has a dual control shower head and hand wand. The bedroom offers a queen size bed, and flat screen TV. The living room is equipped with a comfortable sofa bed with a six inch mattress, as well as a flat screen TV. There is free WIFI Internet, cable TV, and a room safe. You are literally steps away from the Pool/BBQ area where you will find a swimming pool, whirlpool, tables, and barbecue grills which are surrounded by granite countertops and of course the ocean. Washers and dryers are located on each floor for your convenience. There is a Times grocery store just a 5 minute walk south, along with a Subway, Jazzin’ Java, and several other stores. Directly across the street is Ohana Tacos, Honokowai Okazuya for the best deli on the West Side, and The Fish Market for the freshest catches around. Just a few steps north is Bad Ass Coffee (Maui’s version of Starbucks) and on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday is host to a Farmer’s Market in their parking lot, where you can buy fresh produce and other island delicacies. Room rates are plus tax (Hawaii General Excise tax of 4.167% & Transient Accommodation tax of 9.25%).Also included is a pre-arrival cleaning. We can arrange for additional cleanings at your expense if you wish. There is a minimum of 3 nights stay. 1/2 of the total rental due at booking and the remaining 1/2 due 30 days prior to arrival date. Cancellation policy: If you cancel within 30 days of your arrival date, the deposit is forfeited. However, if we can rebook the room your deposit will be cheerfully returned less a $50 administration fee. If cancelled more than 30 days prior to arrival, you will receive a full refund. This is a non-smoking apartment. The stairs to the beach are blocked off. Very convenient location. Lots of options for everything you need in a short walking distance. Like the first-floor room with plenty of parking spots with easy access. Room was a little warm without AC but there are some supplied fans. Pictures of the room are very accurate to what is there. Check-in email needs to be updated with corrected information. Wi-Fi login and password was different. Updated info was on the counter but we set something in front of it when we got there and didn't see it for a couple days. The directions for parking posted all over are a little different than on the email. Directions are a little confusing, but I figured it out in the end. Overall, a positive stay at a great price and I would recommend as long as AC is not a big concern for you. ##### Tim E. The resort grill and pool were over 182 steps and 2 stairwells away not "just steps away" as listed in description. Horrific pot and cigerette smoke prevented us from using whirlpool due to homeless people in adjacent park. Excessive noise from property parking lot and building maintenance 6 of 8 days, 7.5 hours daily from diesel cranes. Attempted to email, call and text VRBO host with no reply. Very disappointing experience and far beneath our expectations based on reviews in VRBO description. Property photos do not match those in VRBO description. We loved the garden patio and appreciated the beach toys (body boards, beach chairs, snorkel gear) we found there. The spaces were clean and airy, couch comfy, and kitchen had everything we needed. You cannot beat the location. We walked to the beach next door and saw turtles and a monk seal! The beach is great for kids to swim. The sunsets were amazing! An older building but has everything you need and a beautiful ground floor garden Lanai. It's situated in a walkable area, with a park next door and food trucks down the street. It was in a cute area close to beaches. There is a cute garden and beach access with lounge chairs and a pool. No AC in the condo, but plenty of fans so it was comfortable. We had some issues at checkin but the host was very communicative and was able to fix the issue within a few hours and took care of us fairly for the inconvenience. Only gave four stars because after a long day of travel it was pretty rough not being able to check in until 3 hours later than expected. There was some weird activity on the lanai overnight which was attributed to the homeless issue but the door locked securely so as long as things aren’t left out there it should be fine. Overall, nice condo, helpful host, gray location we would book here again if we were in Maui. Thanks for hosting us! ##### Brianna T.
