Just a mile to the boat ramp, and happening Old Homosassa MacRae's and The Freezer. Plenty of room to park your trailer and cars. Super charming, lots of space, full kitchen, bath tub and shower. Four kayaks for your enjoyment. Super clean and updated, comfortable beds. Huge yard to play in! Kid Friendly! Full Size washer and dryer.

Small wedding location

We stayed here for 5 days while having a wedding on one of the days. It was a beautiful location with a great backyard on the water. We got to use the boats and the fire pit and overall had a great vacation.

Family reunion

The property was just perfect for us during a small family reunion. It served as our base camp when meeting up with the rest of the family. Allowed us to regroup and freshen up after being with the little ones. I strongly recommend it and will stay there again.

Annual birthday scalloping trip

We had an Amazing time. The owners worked really hard getting the house ready for us as Hurricane Debby had quite the storm surge for Homosassa. House was large enough for the 8 of us and deep water canal was nice for our 26ft boat. We’ve been coming to Homosassa since 1996, and this was one of our best stays yet.

Absolutely perfect!!

We celebrated Christmas here and couldn't have asked for a better house, host and location! House was great with a nice open floor plan and the neighborhood was so quiet. This was our first time visiting this part of Florida and we will be back. Very different from the beach vibe and a welcome change. Can't wait to return and have more time to explore the area.

A week away

Had a great week away. Spent time on the boat fishing. Loved that we were able to bring our dogs. The house was clean and I appreciated all the communication prior to the trip and while we were there when it was needed.

Annual Family scallop trip

This house was the perfect place for our family to stay during our annual family scallop trip. Our dogs also enjoyed having a yard to run around in as well. Added bonus is having “The freezer” right down the street! We hope to stay here again next year!

The Best Of The Best

There was 7 of us n a dog- house was perfect size for all of us. Cute front porch n yard. In the back grill, fire pit, walk out dock, kayaks. Communication between us was perfect- Before, during. This is the best place we have ever stayed at for our kayak trips-will be back again!

Thumbs Up on Camp Oakie!

We loved our stay at Camp Oakie and would stay again. The place was immaculate when we arrived, great location, all amenities and extras were as stated. The house is spacious and comfortable, a large back yard on the water, perfect for our family cookouts, kayaking and boating. It is a great location to stay at in Homosassa. Our host was prompt in replying to any questions I had and all communication regarding the property and checkin/out procedures were simple and clearly stated. We recommend highly!

Camp Oakie Girls Weekend

Perfect girls getaway! Isolated setting for relaxation, close enough for convenient grocery shopping, restaurants, local attractions. Very clean, exceptionally so, and with 4 ladies critiquing, we would know! Love, love, love the beds and pillows! Ideal set-up for sleeping and daily preparations. Camp Oakie was adorable as is, hope the owners will continue to perfect their vision!

Scalloping with Friends 2022

We had a great stay, house was clean, easy to get in and out of, location worked great for us. Home was stocked and property manager was responsive to our needs. Overall would stay here again and recommend to friends and family.

Swimming with Manatees

We enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect for swimming with the manatees and kayaking the Chassahowitzka. The kayaks at the house were a fun afternoon activity. There’s also a park just past the house, Salt Grass, that is a nice place to walk or have a picnic. The house was clean and had everything we needed.

The home is very nice! The owners have it stocked with everything you might need. We loved the large back yard and dock. We saw manatees off the dock, took the kayaks out, and had a fire in the fire pit. We hope to come back and stay again!

Scalloping 2020

Great location, close to restaurants and easy access to the channel. Plenty of room for the family and lots of games for the kids. The kitchen is well equipped and the beds were super comfortable. Jennifer is a wonderful host. Would definitely stay again!

Very Nice!

We love Homosassa Springs and have stayed in different places over the years through VRBO. This house was really great -- the location, cleanliness, comfort and it was well stocked. Everything we needed was available. Checking in was easy and convenient. We will remember this house for future trips to see the manatees!
