Temperatures are cooler with nice breezes in the afternoon. The studio is on the right side of a quaint Hawaiian home with two other units. They overlook a lush garden with several fruit trees including bananas, tangerines, lemons, and mangoes. The Garden suite is set on a terraced tropical garden at about 1000 ft of altitude, meaning it is beautifully cool with and comfortable with no need for aircon. It is in a safe neighbourhood that is a short drive down to attractions like snorkelling and parks. The hosts were helpful with excellent recommenations. Although it’s a studio, it’s laid out well and we didn’t feel cramped (2 adults and one tween). Our daughter loved the window bed nook! It was a very quick drive into Kailua-Kona but thankfully removed from the really busy areas, and the higher elevation meant it was nice and cool, especially at night.
