The Island Resort looks appealing from the outside and is in a convenient location, but the experience inside did not quite live up to that first impression. From the start, the hallways did not feel clean, and the room itself fell short in terms of cleanliness and maintenance. A trash bin near the elevator was frequently overflowing with guests’ garbage, creating a strong odor that made the surrounding area unpleasant. Parking added another layer of frustration. Guests were charged $15 per night, yet finding an available space was often difficult. Paying an additional fee naturally creates the expectation of reasonable access, so the lack of available parking made the charge feel hard to justify. While some reviews suggested that room condition should not matter since guests mainly use them for sleeping, that perspective did not align with our expectations. Even if most of the day is spent at the beach, the room should still feel clean, safe, comfortable, and fully functional. There were some positive elements. The walk-in shower, for example, gave the bathroom a modern look. However, the glass panel only covered about two-thirds of the opening, so water easily splashed onto the bathroom floor during normal use. Although the design was visually appealing, a longer panel or full enclosure would have made it far more practical. The staff was excellent, defenetly will go back. The hotel stay was awesome, my girls enjoyed every bit time in the pool and also the hot tub.

This property was beautiful! Staff was very kind and helpful. Food from the gastropub and from the grill were amazing. The real game changer for me was the adults only pool. No kids splashing around or fussing. My only complaint was there was no microwave or blow dryer in the room. We plan to come stay many more times.
