Outside: the sparkling white sands of Anna Maria Island; inside: a whimsically decorated, beachy one-bedroom condo, where it’s five o’clock around the clock. Cup of coffee in hand, begin the day in the shared patio and pool area. Swim a few laps or splash around a bit after you’re caffeinated, and then head inside to make breakfast. There’s a full suite of appliances and gadgets to prepare everything from an omelet to oatmeal. Dine together at the table for four, or keep it casual and pull up a barstool at the breakfast bar. Sufficiently fueled, head out for a day on the sand – you’re half a block from Gulf of Mexico beach access, which makes it easy to run home for lunch or take a mid-day nap. At the end of the day, relax in the central AC and call a spot on one of the sofas for a little TV. Before bed, step back outside and admire the stars over the island before you drift off to sleep to repeat another perfect day in paradise tomorrow. Our villa was nicely equipped and great for two people. It had parking that was convenient and a nice pool for guests. Got hit with hurricane Debby first 2 days, and vacasa was very informative with hurricane updates and what to do and not to do, so we extended our stay and they made it easy for us! The area felt safe, was clean, and quiet. Holmes Beach was straight across the street less than 100 steps away. The villa was well, equipped, comfortable, and had all that we needed for one week’s stay. The swimming pool and patio equipment was straight out the front door of the Villa. It took many calls, texts and a few days to fix problems at each-some were never resolved. 1\. At the Villas, toilet wouldn't flush. Chain connecting the handle to the inside mechanism was missing. Vacasa did call a plumber who came within 2 hours to fix it. How did housekeeping or mgmt. miss this? 2\. There was no notebook of property instructions. Many requests for one went unaddressed. Vacasa said there were no laundry facilities on property. Neighboring customers showed us laundry facilities, an outdoor grill, trash receptacles, etc. 3\. Villas ad said it sleeps 4 (1 bed 1 sofa bed); there was NO sofa bed. We asked to be moved. One of us had to sleep on sofa cushions 3 NIGHTS. VERY upsetting.4\. NO cable TV remote or instructions despite repeated requests. 5\. Metal strip found in garbage disposal. Was told Vacasa inspects properties after each customer. Doubtful but needed.6\. Finally transferred to Spring Ave. home further from beach, same cost but w/o cable TV remote, no light for entry stairs, low water pressure in baths, a doorstop in garbage disposal, darkened water in the pool, lights went off-owner hadn't paid bill, no mixing bowl-I bought one. All fixed in 3 days except 4 water pressure which I reported when we left. Vacasa offered 2 25 dinner gift certificates for our troubles.
