Enjoy a fabulous stay at the beach in this beautifully remodeled two-bedroom, two-bath unit at the ever-popular Gulf Place! Perfectly situated on the Gulf of Mexico in the center of Anna Maria Island, Gulf Place is a small, thoughtfully designed, and carefully maintained condo complex that offers guests a beach vacation to remember. All units are nestled around a heated pool, and each features a view of the crystal-blue waters and white sand that have made ...the Gulf Coast of Florida so famous. One of the Island's few tennis courts is located at the front of the property. Unit 10 has been renovated by new owners creating a perfect beach experience for their guests. The kitchen, living, and dining areas are open and inviting, with gorgeous granite countertops, stainless appliances, beachy furnishings, and a big breakfast bar perfect for visiting with family. The large TV can be viewed from anywhere in the room. Just off the living area is an inviting balcony, the perfect spot for kicking back with a cocktail and a view of the beach. Down the hall you'll find the laundry room and two comfortable bedrooms. The master bedroom features a king bed, en suite bath, and mounted TV. The second bedroom features a queen bed and a mounted TV over the dresser with a bathroom located just across the hall. The many amenities of Anna Maria Island are close at hand via the Island's free trolley; the southbound route passes right in front of the complex. Walk down the beach as far as you'd like, and hop the trolley home! Shopping, dining, and a variety of recreational adventures can be found nearby in the village of Anna Maria, south in Bradenton Beach, or right there in the heart of Holmes Beach. One of the reasons Gulf Place is such a treasure is that the on-site management is tasked with ensuring occupancy limits are observed, and they do a very thorough job! This time the unit could have been a little more clean. My nose ring fell on floor by the toilet. I wiped my hand around to find it. A bunch of dirt and hair were all over my hands. Also, we found several Palmetto bugs dead. There were a few stains on the master bedrooms sheets and washcloths None of these are really a big deal except the sheets and washcloths. People are terrified they will be charged a cleaning fee when they see these things. Every time we stay there, we meet tons of new people. Never anyone disrespectful. My only complaint was with the condominium itself, 3 different groups of families had multiple kids get swimmers ear, we are 100% convinced it was from the pool since the kids spent 90% of the day there. So I’m not sure if the pool wasn’t clean or wasn’t being kept up. It also would have been nice to just have some necessities in the condo. Salt/pepper, hand soap, laundry soap. The kitchen is beautiful and we found everything we needed in the way of dishes, pots and pans, towels and a few starter necessities such as laundry detergent and dishwasher pods. The master bathroom was exceptional! We also had a partial ocean view which was awesome too. Although we have vacationed on Anna Maria Island for years, this time we learned that we can have rental bicycles delivered to our condo because right outside our unit’s entrance are bicycle racks which was so convenient. We loved riding bikes around the island for the first time. It was fantastic! We loved this new experience. The condo also has a really nice pool, the water temperature was cool and perfect for these hot August days. Access to the beach was also so convenient. Everyone was talking about the red tide but other than an occasional dry cough, and seeing a few dead fish on the beach, there were no issues or problems that we could tell. Another nice thing about this particular condo is the size. We had plenty of room to stretch out and we thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our stay and plan to return soon. ##### Elizabeth H. We were steps from the beach! The entrance to the beach was literally steps from our assigned parking spot so we were able to just grab our chairs/tent/ wagon each day with a very short walk! The condo is beautifully decorated and looks exactly as pictured! Location is a short drive to all our fave spots on the Island as well. We will definitely stay here again! ##### Missy D. The bathrooms are show rooms and you can see the ocean from one of the master bedroom windows. Steps to the beach, we walked to Pine Ave and multiple other restaurant areas. The furnishings and bedding were very comfortable. Watching the waves from the balcony was relaxing and we enjoyed the peacefulness and the gentle breeze. Overall a great area, ocean and beach were clean and not crowded. The one little thing that was a bit of an inconvenience was the keypad to enter the condo. It took some getting use to because you had to jiggle the handle back and forth to get the door to open. We thought we had the wrong code the first few times we tried. Also, some hooks in the bathroom for clothes/towels would be very helpful. Overall, I would stay here again and would highly recommended it to others. It truly is beautiful. ##### Anthony P. The place was clean, and the complex is perfect for our group of families traveling together. My one complaint is the master bedroom has the most uncomfortable bed. I eventually had to move to the couch because I was having restless sleep and sore neck and back aches from the awful bed. It has an egg crate foam top that has zero support and an awkward tilt, making the sheets pop off. While we loved everything else about this unit, I would not stay here again unless the mattress was changed. It is a little disappointing that we paid extra for this unit, and had such a terrible bed in the master. The reason for the 3 stars is the mattress in the master. ##### lizette p.
