Summary:  
A perfect base in beautiful Sandy Bay only a 15-20 minute easy walk into the Hobart CBD and Salamanca Place. Take a stroll from the apartment down to the Derwent River foreshore and around the yachts at the marina of the DSS. All the comforts of home in a renovated, stylish space - including free car parking, access to a hire car, WiFi, AppleTV and access to Netflix.  
  
The Space:  
Only a minute's walk from the foreshore of the Derwent River is our cosy, beautifully styled one bedroom apartment in Sandy Bay. Newly renovated and furnished, enjoy all the creature comforts you would come to expect from a home away from home.  
  
Enjoy the modern kitchen facilities, fully equipped for self-catered meals. Kick back and enjoy Netflix or just surf the net with complimentary WiFi. The bedroom is furnished with a queen bed and has an attached ensuite.  
  
The apartment is located on the ground floor and comes with a dedicated car parking spot out front, or optional access to a hire vehicle through ‘Uber Car Share'. Information pertaining to the booking process for the vehicle will be sent to guests once they have a confirmed reservation at the apartment.  
  
The Neighborhood:  
Marieville Esplanade in Sandy Bay is a peaceful and scenic corner that offers a relaxing retreat with stunning views over the Derwent River. The area is perfect for those who enjoy the outdoors, with a tranquil riverside location ideal for morning strolls or relaxing walks along the water. It’s also home to the Derwent Sailing Squadron, where you can admire the yachts, watch local sailing activities or grab a yummy pub-style meal.   
  
Convenience is key in this area: it’s just a short 15-20 minute walk to Hobart’s Central Business District (CBD), making it easy to explore the city. Alternatively, a bus stop on nearby Sandy Bay Road offers public transport options.  
  
The nearby Sandy Bay shopping precinct, just a couple of minutes' walk from the apartment, has everything you need for a comfortable stay. You'll find supermarkets, butchers, a newsagent, a post office, and other local services all within easy reach.  
  
With its combination of serene river views, proximity to the city, and easy access to essential services, the Marieville Esplanade area offers the perfect blend of tranquility and convenience.  
  
Getting Around:  
Getting around Sandy Bay is easy and convenient. The area’s compact layout makes walking enjoyable, especially along the waterfront and main streets filled with cafes and shops. Metro Tasmania buses connect Sandy Bay with Hobart’s city center and key spots like the University of Tasmania, offering a simple way to explore without a car.  
  
Driving is also popular, with street parking available in most areas, though it can be busier near the university. Taxis and rideshare services like Uber are also accessible, making it easy to reach both central Hobart and nearby attractions.
