The split-level loft-style converted warehouse has a contemporary feel, and secure parking. Experience Hobart’s renowned waterfront restaurants, bars and cultural attractions, or stroll just five minutes walk to Salamanca Place or MONA ferry terminal - perfect for a group of friends, couples or a corporate trip. The Space: The Gibson’s Mill building is etched into Tasmania’s rich history, operating as a family owned flour mill business from the mid-1860’s, becoming Tasmania’s largest flour mill until it was sold in 1979\. It began a new life after a stunning architecturally designed conversion, retaining its industrial original features such as exposed brick, steel and wooden beams, and high loft-style ceilings. The building’s period facade dating back to 1890 with Gibson’s Mill signage stamps its place in Hobart’s working class history. The loft – one of the most premium in the boutique 12 apartment building offers space and an edginess that Hobart has become known for. Split over two levels, this light and bright apartment features on the lower level a modern fully equipped kitchen with sleek appliances, large dining and lounge room, workstation, bathroom and bedroom with King sized bed. Upstairs is dedicated to the master bedroom with King sized bed, spacious ensuite and large robe. The loft features all modern conveniences including ducted aircon, euro laundry with washer and dryer and secure car parking for one car. The best of what Hobart has to offer is right at your doorstep. Walk five minutes in any direction for an abundance of bars, cafes, restaurants or the CBD. Try Aloft restaurant on Brooke Street Pier, Daci & Daci Bakers for a delicious pastry, or the Telegraph Hotel next door for a pot of Cascade beer. Head to the vibrant cultural scene of Salamanca Place for dinner, or the Saturday morning weekly market. Please note the stay is located near the waterfront precinct, some apartments experience late night noise from adjacent restaurants, clubs and pubs, particularly on a Friday and Saturday night. Getting Around: You can easily walk around the city from the apartment, or Metro Tasmania bus stops are located all over the city to get you around town or nearby areas. Taxis and Uber are also available, as well as Neuron and Beam scooters to hire via apps. It was ideal as it had two bedrooms with comfy beds and 2 bathrooms plus a garage for our hire car - the kitchen was well equipped and there were also basic food items available such as tea bags, coffee and coffee machine, olive oil etc... It was within perfect walking distance of the Salamanca market and wharf areas which made it perfect for dining and sight seeing. It was a lovely stay. ##### lisa s.
