He wanted to keep it for 12 hours. He stated that he needed to our passports to police station and make copies, and will return to us 12 hours later. I thought that was really strange. He says he couldn't take copies, he needed the original passports. I could Not allow anyone to take away my passport and promises to return it?! I got really worried. Was he trying to pull a scam on me? He is a 60 year old looking man, I think he is the owner of this hotel. I say to anyone, don't allow anyone to take your passports away when traveling, even government officials. They don't have right to take away your passports. So, I ended up going outside to make copies of my passports and giving it to the receptionist / owner. He then changed his story to, he will now accept copies of my passport. I did stay at this hotel for the week, I didn't think this owner would give me a refund, if I canceled. 2nd, the Air conditioner button did not work. I had to press and hold for two minutes to turn on and off. The location is great, but if you are a soft sleeper, it is impossible to sleep during the noise at night time.
