There is also a distinctly earthy/broccoli-like smell throughout the hotel, which may bother some people. The front desk staff were friendly and welcoming, and helped us with dinner reservations. The hotel offer an onsen and the possibility to have a Japanese-style dinner and breakfast, highly recommended. Everything was clean and well taken care of, albeit a little dated. Both the breakfast and dinner were an experience with a plethora of dishes we would normally never come across. The location suited us, a very short walk from the Miyajima ferry terminal and within a walking distance of the main area of the island, without being crowded or noisy. Got the authentic experience of sleeping on Japanese futons and bathing in the public bath. The rooms also had modern. Bathrooms and showers. Fully recommend paying for the attached kaiseki dinner and breakfast, both were amazing experiences. Our favorite was the breakfast miso soup!
