The cabin is an oasis and serve as our basecamp to hike daily, birdwatch, mountain bike, and fish. For the first time ever on a getaway we didn’t eat out at all. I would definitely recommend star gazing as there is absolutely no light pollution on Chestnut Mountain. Keep the feeders on the porch stocked and you will see all kinds of bird life and butterflies. Deer were in the vicinity every time I ventured outside or looked out the windows. The house itself is very comfortable and felt like home.
