This newly renovated gem is now even more inviting, boasting a spacious layout and modern amenities to ensure your vacation is nothing short of unforgettable. Upon entering, you will be greeted by an open-concept living space, seamlessly blending the living room, dining area, and vaulted-ceiling kitchen. The kitchen features brand-new cabinets, appliances, and quartz countertops, creating a sleek and functional space for culinary adventures. A large island with seating for seven offers the perfect spot for casual meals or socializing with loved ones. The dining area has a large table with seating for eight as well so there is plenty of space for everyone. The Happy Heron now offers four bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms. Each bedroom exudes comfort and style, providing a peaceful retreat after a day of beachcombing or exploring. The first guest bedroom offers two sets of twin bunk beds. It is a great room for young people and has multiple hooks for hanging as well as a closet. The hall bathroom is just outside the bunk room. The next bedroom features a king bed and ensuite powder room. The third king guest bedroom has a full ensuite bathroom with shower and double vanities. The primary bedroom is large and spacious with ample seating, work space and ensuite bathroom with glass enclosure. The oasis everyone looks for on vacation. At the end of the hall is the laundry room with full size machines and plenty of beach towels for your stay. In addition to the luxurious bedrooms, guests will appreciate the second living room with another large TV and doors to create a space away from it all when needed. Step outside to discover the beautifully landscaped yard, complete with privacy fencing and a fenced-in doggie run area, perfect for your furry friends. Location was perfect. Short, mostly shady, walk to beach and is located across from a small nature reserve. The kids enjoyed watching the deer and other wildlife (no alligators!). The bedrooms are large and roomy with comfy beds and plenty of storage. Loved the 2 "living rooms". We could close one off so the hard-of-hearing adults could turn the TV volume up without disturbing others. The kitchen was nicely stocked with more than enough dishes and cooking utensils/pans. We really enjoyed the outside area and the entire backyard is fenced. Our dogs could not get out and had a potty area away from the pool area. The pool area is much larger than it looks in the pictures. From what we found, you cannot heat the hot tub without heating the pool. That rendered the hot tub useless in August because we preferred the refreshing pool. Very minor point to us! We would definitely rent this house again! ##### Dan A. Everything has been updated, remodeled, etc. also, it is literally a 3-5 minute walk to the North Forrest area of Coligny Beach- we effortlessly spent hours at the beach each day and it was a blast. The house has tons of room. Our group included two families, 4 adults and 5 kids (ages 10-20). Everyone loved their rooms and felt like we were in the lap of luxury all week. The large open concept family room/kitchen was the hub of our families day to day activities. The kitchen was exceptional and our outdoor space including the spa and pool was a decadent luxury to the end of our beach days and a wonderful convenience for everyone on the trip to enjoy at any time. The saddest part of our trip was leaving. We love Hilton Head and it would be amazing if this was our permanent vacation home every time we visit Hilton Head Island. ##### Anne-Marie F. The house is in a great location; short walk to the beach and Coligny Plaza. It was very clean when we arrived and had starter supplies until we could get to the store. Plenty of room for all of the family to gather outside, the living room, and around the table. The property manager/owner was timely in returning communication regarding the hot tub status. Not sure if it was just the time of the year but we had to clean the pool/sweep the pool deck every day for the acorns/needles. The pool company did come mid-week to give it a deep clean. The pool deck could use some work as far as uneven pavers and cleaning out the needles and acorns. Overall this is a fantastic property and with the upgrades they are planning will be an in-demand home for vacations! ##### Jillian G. It was our first trip to Hilton Head and it did not disappoint. If I had to do it again, I would stay here. The pool is big and was the perfect temperature. The house is very comfortable and welcome and had everything we needed. The walk to the beach is short and direct and were happy to see how close it is to the town too. Everything you need is within walking distance including restaurants, shopping and even a grocery store. I saw a comment on another post that the house wasn't cool in the summer but we did not have this experience. We were there during a very hot time (July) and the house was cooled perfectly and enjoyed the ceiling fans as well. We took are dogs with us and had a nice neighborhood to walk them, a fenced area around the pool for them to be with us, and we were even allowed to take them on the beach (during the summer after 5pm to before 10am. But, we couldn't bring ourselves to give it a 4 star rating. The things we liked were mostly everything that we already knew about the property - the location being the primary positive. Also, the pool and hot tub were fantastic. The pool was heated well (first week of April) and the hot tub was great. The back patio area was fantastic. The negatives - the place was very tired and run down. All the dressers and most of the couches seemed old. Kitchen cabinets were beaten up terribly. The decor we knew from the pictures, but the age/wear was more than expected. Also, the cleaning crew didn't do a good enough job. There was a dirty kleenex and sock under the bed, and one of the living room areas hadn't been swept as their were leaves and sand on the floor. For the price, it wasn't a bad place. The location and pool area are fantastic. If you don't mind some age on the furniture either, you'll enjoy your stay here even more than we did! It could use some updates (especially the kitchen) but we didn’t cook much. King beds were excellent - bunks were to be desired. Very short walk to the beach and close to the shops/restaurants in the Coligny plaza. The pool was an added bonus. Less Positive: house was not vacuumed, we had to clean clog in vacuum to use. Once repaired we swept up 2 canisters of dirt. The property itself is what we expected from the description. We were able to walk or ride bikes to shopping, restaurants and the main beach.
