We really like Palmetto Dunes. Very comfortable living room furniture. Fell asleep a couple times at night watching TV.Things to improve:1\. Deck boards and deck bench boards need repair.2\. There were multiple hairs waiting to welcome us in the bathroom sink.3\. Walls/paint in shower and around the unit need to be patched and painted.4\. Missing or peeling caulk on bathroom vanity.5\. Master bedroom did not have bed covers. It had a sheet and a blanket. Would be nice to have a bedspread or comforter to make the room nicer. Second bedroom had them.6\. Rusty fan light in bath.7\. Listing talked about recently updated or renovated. Well, "some" recently updated or renovated. Looks like new flooring and some new tile, but they stopped there. Walls need work.8\. Would be nice to have better quality towels. These are pretty thin.9\. I know they buy in huge bulk, but 4 or 5 days of prison paper as toilet paper really had us missing our own bathroom.10\. I had asked questions on VRBO and never got a response. I booked anyway as there was not a lot available at the time we were booking. After booking they informed me they do not answer questions asked on VRBO. They said we needed to either call or ask from their site. Well, that would be nice to have in the description of the unit.More to say, but out of room. Bed broke during the night waited 48 hours for a repair used twin beds in other room in the mean time. Front door lock was not working had to get service to help with that went from a simple 4 digit code to 12 digit code which was cumbersome to use and remember. Bike lock code was incorrect bikes were thrown in a heap by the back door needed two people to get to them out for use. It was spacious enough for a family of 5, very clean and well-maintained. We loved being ground level and the 2 bikes available were a lot of fun. If you have a young family, I recommend going to Hilton Head Outfitters and renting a hitch for the kiddos to sit in. While I loved the unit, I will likely not stay there again as it was a bit too far from the beach for me. All that said, the ride or walk down is beautiful as you go through the property. ##### Julie D.
