Welcome to 494 Captain’s Cove…. location location location! Located directly across the street from the Atlantic Ocean, situated along the lagoon in Palmetto Dunes, this uses the oceanfront pool at Captains Walk. Drive right up to the front door and step inside this bright and freshly decorated, two-story, four-bedroom home away from home. When entering the home, there is a bright, airy living room, with a comfortable sleeper sofa and a large TV. The bright living area, with a vaulted ceiling and updated furnishings, opens to a private deck with new Adirondack chairs to enjoy the evening sunsets. The well- manicured grassy backyard is perfect to play and lounge in. The waterfront view of the 11-mile lagoon system is a perfect spot to fish or launch a kayak. The unit has a beautiful kitchen, with leathered quartzite countertops and new stainless-steel appliances. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to cook for your family and friends. The open dining area seats six, with room for four in the breakfast area, and four more in the living area. The barn doors in the back of the kitchen open to a new large washer and dryer set and a second full refrigerator for your convenience. The villa’s sleeping arrangements are spacious and family friendly. The master bedroom has a king bed, TV, views of the lagoon and a private bathroom with walk in shower. The guest room on the first floor has a king bed, TV, and will use of the main floor full bathroom. As you ascend the winding staircase to the second level, you enter a small sitting area that the kids can enjoy. Off of the sitting area is a guest bedroom with a queen bed, and a guest bedroom with extra-long twin beds. There is a fully renovated third full bathroom, with a tub, on the second floor. The villa even has an exterior storage room, with plenty of space to store your beach cart and bicycles. During your stay, make sure to check out the year-round Captain’s Walk/Captain’s Cove oceanside pool. It is located directly across the street. This area features a large swimming pool, a kid's pool, cabana, on site restrooms, large sunning deck and boardwalk to the beach. The pool is heated seasonally. Check with Island Getaway for dates. The Oceanfront Omni and Marriott Resorts are across the street and both offer fabulous day spas, bars and restaurants within a short walking distance. Shelter Cove Marina is a quick bike ride away and offers shopping, dining, entertainment, and fun water sports. However, I have rented from VRBO many times before and this place was the poorest in decor. You are greeted at the entrance way with two plastic chairs fron Walmart and a small rusted table. Inside is dark and the living room furniture definitely needs to be replaced. The base of the coffee table and sofas is deteriorating. The furniture on the outside porch overlooking the lagoon was filthy as was the table. I do understand pollen in the air but this furniture looked to have not been cleaned in ages. At least cover it! Very disappointed and will not go through Island rentals again. ##### Judith B. Unit was very clean and well equipped. Overall we were very happy with the condo. The master bedroom is large and the king bed was comfortable. The kitchen has plenty of counter space and lacked nothing. The living room/tv room was good although the furniture is a bit dated, but still acceptable. The bathrooms, however, are poorly lit and additional lighting is needed. The only other negative was that the adjoining unit was being renovated and it was quite noisey at times. ##### Ronald B. ### 10/10 – Excellent #### Susie M. 1 nov. 2016 #### Beautiful villa This is a wonderful location. Very peaceful with the lagoon right out the back that you can see from the living room, deck, or screened in porch. Beach and pool are a short walk across the street. Villa is beautifully furnished. Everything was spotless. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen had about any utensil you could imagine. Excellent location with many shops and restaurants a short drive away. Directions to log into the Internet were readily available. Unfortunately after driving over 1100 miles to get here we were only able to enjoy it for 3 of the 7 nights due to the mandatory evacuation for Huricane Matthew. Thankfully we heard that this villa did not sustain any damage from the storm, so we want to return again, hopefully in late spring/early summer. We would highly recommend this for anyone's vacation. ##### Susie M.
